"I WILL BE YOUR SWORD AND SHIELD, YOUR CAMOUFLAGE-"
—————————————-Inside the Avenger's Lab. Tony carefully places the stones in the gauntlet he made while Bruce, Rocket and Skylar watch. With nervous precision, Tony turns his fingers and the arms carefully place all six stones into the gauntlet. They held their breath, hoping everything went fine. The stones sunk in and glowed.
"Boom!" Rocket exclaimed. Tony and Bruce jump a bit, and quickly groan at Rocket's joke. Skylar had yelped, and glared at the raccoon. Rocket chuckled at their reaction. "It's not funny rabbit."
-The team gathered in another room with the new finished gauntlet.
"All right. The glove's ready. Question is, who's gonna snap their freaking fingers?"
Thor smacked his lips. "I'll do it." He walked forward.
"Excuse me?" Scott said, blinking.
"It's okay." Thor raised his hands.
Everyone was quick to stop him, knowing he was in no condition. "No, whoa. Stop. Stop. Wait a sec. Hey!" They protested.
"Thor, just wait. We haven't decided who's gonna put that on yet." Steve said. "Oh, I'm sorry. What, were you just sitting around waiting for the right opportunity?"
"We should at least discuss it." Scott added. "Look, us sitting here staring at that thing is not gonna bring everybody back." Some of his words slurred. The team gave him a look. "I'm the strongest Avenger, okay? So this responsibility falls upon me. It's my duty."
Tony stepped in front of him, holding him back. "It's not that..."
Thor shushes everyone, waving his arm. "It ... stop it! Just let me." His voice lowers to a whisper, his eyes teary. "Just let me do it. Just let me do something good. Something great."
"Look...It's not just the fact that that glove is channeling enough energy to light up a continent, I'm telling you you're in no condition." Tony explained.
"What do you think is coursing through my veins right now?" Thor made a fist, pumping it forward.
"Cheez Whiz?" Rhodey said with a bored look, his arms crossed against his War Machine suit. Tristan was standing next to him, also in her own red and black armor. "Nah, maybe that other Bloody Mary I made him a few minutes ago."
Thor sent them a quick glare before turning back to Tony. "Lightning."
"Lightning won't help you, pal. It's gotta be me." Bruce spoke up.
Thor let go of Tony, shaking his head and sniffling. "You saw what those stones did to Thanos. It almost killed him. None of you could survive." Bruce neared the gauntlet, looking over it with sad eyes.
