"Home sweet home, I guess,"
Jerry said.
Christi replied as she smiled, "I wondered that myself."
"General, excuse me for asking you this, but I think we should
send these two families to that mansion we were staying in when
Sam was showing us Earth for the first time,"
Sofith spoke.
"Great idea!"
Sofith told them,
"The place is gigantic, and it has all the privacy you need
and then some. The place is in Atlanta, Georgia, so you won't
be far from your hometown. When I'm finished getting Earth
told about all of this, I'll be with you for a short time. It will
take a lot to get this planet organized and ready for the Ubaids."
"While your family stays at the mansion, you'll be at
your Jedi training,"
Hothok stated to Brandon.
"There's an old abandoned military base near here. You can
train him or anyone else until you can design any Jedi Academies,"
General Davis said.
"For now, General Davis, that place will do great. I think we
shouldn't build anything until Earth gets a grip on the situation.
All we ask — keep this location a secret for the safety of
him and his family,"
Tumok replied.
"We will keep the location a secret until you and the other Jedi
want it to be told,"
General Davis said.
Hothok said,
"Thank you for all your help."
Princess Sofith gave him a special handheld Holocron
communication device. She explained it's encrypted and
very secure.
"If you need to contact us, it would be better if you use this.
I'll have one for President Bush to use. I understand that
Thor has put up a communication grid with these devices in mind."
"Yes, he did. I got that memo the other day. I don't know how he realized you would use them. Just the same, it is up and running."
He showed everyone except Princess Sofith to the elevator. When he came back to her, he said,
"Your transport is ready to take you to the President."
Once the elevator came down, they both entered it. After
entering the second elevator, he continued, "You'll be talking
to everyone on Earth via a satellite with the President at
your side. From what I saw in your galaxy, you know a great
deal about the press."
"I do. I'm used to answering any question that any news
personnel could ask me, no matter what planet or galaxy
they come from, General." Sofith stated with confidence.
"I'll be going with you to make my speech on the SGC program.
We were lucky to get a hold of Retired General Hammond
to make his contribution."
When they got to the top, the car was not all that far, so when
they walked near, the driver got out and opened the car door for
Sofith and General Davis. The General went on talking,
"We'll meet General Hammond at the location we're headed.
Since you'll have the floor, you can talk as long as you need to.
President Bush thinks it would be better for you to speak first."
"I agree with him. Having someone from the outside talking to
them about all this would be ideal. I hope it will be enough. I
would like for Ituor to talk to the people of Earth. Everyone can
learn more about the Jedi business from him,"
Sofith said.
It did not take them long to get to their destination. When Sofith and General Davis got out, the President of the United States and General Hammond greeted Sofith.
"Princess, I knew this would come one day; they would bring out
the SGC in the open, but I was hoping and praying it wouldn't
be to the possible demise of Earth. Just the same, I'm glad to see you again,"
General Hammond said.
