Nico's POV

I had just enough time to set down Persephone before Hades and the other gods shoved me out of the way. Kinda rude dad. A thanks would be nice. But seriously, what's wrong with Persephone? Do goddess's usually faint? Never happened in the myths. But then again, the gods probably had control over what was in the myths. 

Apollo busied  himself with checking Persephone and Aphrodite and Hecate were whispering behind them. My dad was at Persephone's side, asking questions as Apollo checked her. I felt a warm hand grab mine. Will. 

"Hey death boy." he said watching the scene in front of us. It wasn't like him to be so quiet, but I was shocked too. A goddess fainted. A goddess. 
"Hey Sunshine." I mumbled, leaning into his shoulder. I saw him smile. 

A few minutes later we were sitting down again, Hades on his throne with Hecate and Aphrodite standing next to him. Apollo and Persephone had left. The room was eerily quiet. You couldn't even hear the fields of punishment. Or the monsters. 

Hazel decided to break the silence.

"Will Persephone be okay?" she asked sounding worried. I smiled to myself. That's my sister. Even when we're about to learn about our almost certainly dangerous future, she's thinking about other people. Aphrodite smiled softly at Hazel. 

"She'll be fine." She assured us. "But you four...."

"You have each been chosen by a primordial deity." said my dad. 

What? I could tell from the others faces that they were shocked as well. What did that even mean? Like we were their minions? Were we about to die? And what did he mean by Primordial Deity. Like Eros? He was primordial, wasn't he. What about the Titans? Will voiced my thoughts. 

"What do you mean Primordial deity? Like Gaia and stuff?" he asked his blue eyes growing wide. "Uh, kind of." said my dad looking uncomfortable. "You've also been chosen by a god?" He looked at Hecate who shrugged. Okay, this was getting nowhere. I started to play with my skull ring. 

"Let me rephrase what I said. You've been chosen my a main Primordial, and then one other deity. I don't really know how to explai-" But he was cut off by Apollo coming in. 

"Persephone will be fine, just make sure she's resting and that-" He broke off once he saw our looks. "Oh!" He said. "Sorry about that. Need help?" He said smirking at Hades, who nodded. Apollo turned to us and cleared his throat.

" Each of you have been chosen and blessed by one primordial deity and a lesser deity has bonded with you. You have already been bonded, but not fully as the deity has to be in the same space as you for that to happen. The lesser one, not the larger. Got that?" He looked expectantly at us. Um... okay?

"When you are bonded or blessed by a larger deity, they transfer some of their power into you. You will be trained on how to use these powers later on. You will also have a bonding power, because you need a link to one another, but you'll find out about that tomorrow. Any questions?" Uh yeah! Did he really think we got all that?

"If the lesser deity bonded with us, did they transfer any of their powers to us?" I asked.

"Yes." Replied Apollo. "They have. Consequently making you the most powerful demigods to live so far. Let's just hope it stays that way. We wouldn't want you dead."

"Have we each been bonded with a different deity or...?" asked Piper. 

"Nico has been blessed by Nyx, and was bonded with Thantos. Will blessed by Hemera, and was bonded with Hieperion, Hazel was blessed by Gaia, and was bonded with Plutus, Piper you've been bonded with Eros and was bonded with Tyche. Got that?" What in Hades!

Nyx, the literal night, Will was Hemera the Day, Hazel was Gaia and I'm friends with the person Eros chose? As in Eros the egghead? What the fu-

"Have you got that or not." said Apollo looking bored. We nodded, all of us confused. 

"Good!" He said sitting up and smiling. "See you tomorrow!" 
"Actually, I'd like to speak with Will and Nico first." I looked up to see a beaming Aphrodite. Oh no.

"Um, okay?" said Will, his eyebrows creasing like they always did when he was worried. Hades, Hecate and Apollo left to go see Persephone, and Hazel decided to shadow travel herself and Piper to Camp Half-Blood. I saw her shoot me a worried look before she melted into shadows. 

"Now. Boys." Said Aphrodite sitting on the arm of Hades's chair. She had Bianca's hair, Will's eyes and freckles, and a bunch of other stuff I couldn't be bothered to look at. Her resemblance to Will was honestly freaky.... I turned to look at Will. He gave me a smile, squeezed my hand, and we looked at Aphrodite. She was biting her lip and fidgeting. 

"You two are so cute!" She squealed. "I ship it I ship it I ship it I ship it I ship it..."  We exchanged looks. If you've ever had the goddess of love yell I ship it about you and your significant other before, you know what we were going through. I looked at Will and stifled a laugh. He looked so cute! He was half laughing at Aphrodite and looked completely lost. I burst out laughing. Oh great now he was looking at me. 

"Nico?" He asked looking adorably bewildered. I smiled and kissed him on the nose. 
"You're a dork." I told him. He smiled, his dimples showing. "Thank's darlin'." I blushed. Remember when I said Will knew the ways to make me blush? Yeah. His accent was one of them. Stupid son of Apollo. 

Then I realized the chanting had stopped. Aphrodite was now fixing her makeup using one of the diamonds in the walls as a mirror. We stared at her expectantly. She looked at us. 

"Oh! Right." She smiled at us. "As you know, the two of you are soulmates," Oh great here comes trouble. "By tomorrow morning your souls will be fully bonded." What? "Look at your wrists." She said smiling. 

On my left wrist, a black and gold line was starting to form. "Those are soulmate tattoo's. I saw the concept in a mortal magazine and thought it was cute. You're welcome!" The line started to twist. Almost like someone was drawing it. 

"By tomorrow morning those tattoos will be complete, and of you press them down, you'll be able to tell how the other one is feeling. No matter the circumstance. Anyway, goodbye! Or as you'd say Nico Arrivederci!"

There was a flash of golden light and we were sitting on our beds in the Hades Cabin looking stunned. Piper and Hazel were on Hazel's bed staring at us. Will broke the silence. 

"Well that was weird." he said shaking his head. 

"Way to state the obvious Sunshine."

------HOGWARTS-------

Hecate stood in a dungeon talking to a glowing silver apparition. A ghost. The ghost of Albus Dumbledore to be exact. 

"You must understand! The dark lord..." 
"I know Albus." Said Hecate. "But tell me, why can't Potter search for this other Horcrux?" 

"Because he doesn't know it exists!" He said. "I only told him about seven, I didn't know about the eighth until now! And he has hidden it somewhere that only they can reach."

"Where." said the formidable goddess frowning, her dark hair seeming to draw light away from the chamber. 

"I-I'm not sure." Said Albus. It had been a while since he'd uttered that sentence."It seems to be linked to the Underworld, but not there exactly. It's-" 
"Hard to explain. Yes, I know." sighed Hecate. 

"Very well. They'll arrive soon."
