HEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

So I feel really proud of myself, because I was really productive today. Usually on weekends, I stay in my room on my device all day and end up feeling miserable, but today I cleared out my room, (Which took a LONG time) convinced my mum to take us for a walk, and baked some muffins without burning myself! I know it doesn't sound like much, but that is extra rare for me. So yeah. Sorry about the boring author's note.

And can we just appreciate this picture for a second. It's like they read my mind. It's creepy.

ON WITH THE STORY!!!!!

..................

Hazel's POV

I closed the door and joined the others grinning. I don't know how Will managed to get Nico into a tiara, but I am so glad he did. Piper and Monica were teasing Nico, who was sitting next to a laughing Will, blushing. It was a welcomed distraction. I'd been anticipating the meeting all day. There were so many ways this could go wrong. I sat down next to Nico.

"You look so cute, Nico!" I cooed, leaning in close to touch the tiara. Nico groaned, and buried his face in his hands. "We're not telling her about the gods." he stiffened. "Don't lie, but don't tell the her the whole truth." I whispered into his ear. He jerked his head slightly, confirming that he understood. I leaned back out, hoping he'd have enough sense to tell Will.

"Alright." said Piper beaming. "As fun as it is to tease Nico, we need to get down to business." We all looked toward Monica, who inhaled deeply.

"Okay. So I ask you guys questions, and you answer, right?" We nodded, and as she looked at her robes, I saw Nico mutter something to Will.

"Alright, first of all, you guys were homeschooled, right?" We nodded. "So how come you can keep up with everything that's taught here? I mean, it's obvious that you're smart, but the syllabus in America has to be at least a tiny bit different, right?" Oh. I looked around at the others, and to my horror, I saw that they were stumped as well. I turned back to Monica, twiddling my fingers.

"The syllabus isn't really that different." I said. Yesh, even my voice sounded nervous. "Our sixth year exams are a big deal -kinda like the O.W.L's here. So we started studying in year five. Once we learned we were moving, we kinda just went over this syllabus at home." My stomach was in knots. I hope she believes it.

To my relief, she nodded.
"Alright. What about the languages?" I frowned. Didn't we already explain this to her?
"So basically, Piper's family and mine knew each other in the US. We met Nico and Hazel here." explained Will. "When we were in the US, Hazel was learning Latin, Nico Italian, Piper French, and I wanted to learn Greek. We moved here halfway through last year, and Nico's dad is a Legilimens, and it turned out we were all wizards. We studied together for a while, and the others decided to learn greek with me." Monica looked at him strangely.

"That is... really weird." she said staring at us. It was quiet for a few seconds. "Oh well." she said abruptly. Thank the gods. "But what are the odds that could happen?"

"What are the odds that the four most powerful wizards to ever exist met up in a time that there was no easy form of communication or travel and somehow managed to create a magical school that would actually become renowned among the magical community?" I stared at Nico, fighting back a grin. He stared at Monica, completely blank faced as Will tried desperately not to smile behind him. She looked back at him.

"Touche." she said smiling. "I don't really have anything else to ask about."
"Do you mind if I ask you something?" I glanced at Piper, surprised. What could we have to ask her? Monica frowned, but nodded.

"How did you end up with a horcrux in the first place?" the blue eyed girl froze, and her eyes darkened slightly.
"It's a family heirloom." she said calmly, but I noticed see that her knuckles were white.
"But how did it end up in your family?" Pressed Piper. I turned to her, but she ignored me, watching Monica closely. I felt the coils in my stomach return, and I stared down at my skirt.

The room that I couldn't see was silent. It was suffocating, and I could feel Nico tense beside me. Why didn't Piper just drop it? It was obvious that she didn't want to tell us. Finally, Monica broke the mum that had fell over the room.

"It was my great aunts locket." I looked up.

"She wasn't exactly old when this happened, maybe 45,but she was amazing. One day when I was around eight, she was out for a walk in Venice. That's where we lived." she added. "She met this guy. She was unmarried; she always said she didn't want to commit to something like that. But she really liked him." she looked up at us. "Turns out this guy was Voldemort." We were silent.

"My aunt worked for the Italian Ministry, and was quite powerful. After a few weeks, Voldemort tried to put her under the imperius curse. Luckily, it didn't work, and my aunt realised who he was. She tried to run, and Voldemort let her." Nico frowned.
"That isn't like him." Monica nodded.
"Lo so."  she said.
"What?"
"She said she knows." said Nico playing with his skull ring.

"She got home, and told my parents. I wasn't there. She sent an owl to the ministry, and the next day went out to work. She never came back." I glared at Piper, who surveyed her with blank face. "The next day, we sent out a search party. We found her body at the bottom of a canal. Her throat was slit." I felt my bile rise into my throat. I've lost more than my fair share of people... but that. That's horrid.

"When they pulled her body out of the canal, my grandfather kept her locket. After a few tests it was clear that something was wrong with it. Soon enough, we moved. They couldn't stand staying there. That's why we moved to England." I glared at Piper, who had the dignity to show some shame.
"Sorry I pushed it, Monica." she mumbled, a dark tone dusting her cheeks. Monica smiled wearily.
"Don't sweat it. You were gonna ask eventually."

"But one more question, how are you guys going to get rid of the locket?"
"We thought the room could help us." said Will smiling. "We did some research, and the supposed only thing it can't grant someone is food. So it should be able to give us a way to destroy it, right? Or at least information on it." Monica nodded.

"Cool."
"Uh, guys? We should probably get going." said Piper standing up. "Haze and I have muggle studies, and we only have like, five minutes to get there."
"Alright." said the Will standing up. "How about we meet up after class on Friday? Bring the locket, 'kay Monica?" The italian nodded, and joined them.

"See you later." said Nico shouldering his bag and walking out the door.
