Nico's POV
I jolted awake in the middle of the night, and found myself staring at a green canopy. Despite the fact it was around one in the morning, I felt calm. So it wasn't a nightmare that woke me up...
I pushed myself up, instantly awake, and scanned the room for anything that could have woken me up. Our roommates were all sleeping, and none of them had woken up, so it wasn't a noise. But then I did a double take. Nevermind, not all of our roommates were asleep. Because Will's bed was empty.
Despite the fact it was the middle of the night, it was neatly made, apart from the fact that the quilt was a little crinkled near the top. I frowned, slightly worried. I looked around the room again, but couldn't see him. Okay, be rational. He's his own person, he could be just going the bathroom for gods sake! I shouldn't worry too much. But after a few minutes, he still hadn't come back. I looked down at the ink on my wrist.
I hadn't used my soulmate mark much. Usually it was Will who did it, speaking to me through the tattoo. Yeah. We could talk to each through the marks. Sometimes Will would do it in class when he was bored. I smiled.
Pressing my fingers to my wrist, I closed my eyes and thought clearly. Will? It was quiet for a few seconds, but then I got a reply. Yeah? Nico, why are you awake? I thought about that. I still hadn't figured out why I'd woken up. But now as I stared at my soulmate mark, I could recall a faint twinge of sadness just before I'd woken up.
My mark woke me up. I said deciding it was the most logical explanation. Are you okay? Again, there was silence. Will?
Yeah. It was just a nightmare. He said after a while. I frowned.
When you're a demigod, there's never such a thing as "just a nightmare." Where are you?Common room.
Stay there. I said back to the blond haired boy. Then I kicked the blankets away, and was hit with the chilly fall air. My skin prickled unpleasantly, but then adjusted to the cold. I made my away across the room quietly, and then started down the stairs.I love Will, but his one flaw was the fact he could never "worry" people with his own problems. It's more worrying than annoying, and not to mention the fact that he always tells me that bottling up emotions doesn't get anywhere. He should take his own advice sometime.
The faint light of a fireplace came from the doorway as I reached the bottom of the stairs. It had been a few days since Monica told us about the Horcrux, and we'd managed to memorise our way around the castle pretty well, so I hadn't bumped into anything yet. I walked through the stone archway, and immediately spotted Will's silhouette in front of one of the fires.
He was sitting facing the fire, the flames reflected in his blue eyes. I walked over to him, and then sat down on the rug next to him quietly. He leaned into me, his hair tickling my neck and making him blush. I melted into the touch, and took his hand, intertwining out fingers.
"You okay sunshine?" I asked the blond haired boy, my voice coming out in a hoarse whisper. He hummed, his tone revealing nothing. We were silent for a while, leaning against the couch and staring at the fire. I focused on my soulmate mark, and a wave of melancholy washed over me.
"Will." I pressed. He sighed.
"It was nothing. Just a dream." he said looking down at out fingers. I lifted my head up and looked at him, but he avoided my gaze.
"If it was just a dream, you wouldn't have come down here." I said gently, but firmly. Will stayed silent, and stared at the fire. I sighed, and turned back to the fire as well."It was about the war." he said suddenly, the waver in his voice echoing around the room. I turned to him curiously. He swallowed, but continued. "I-it wasn't anything big, it was just the people who had died. That I couldn't save." His eyes had gone glossy, and the flames reflected in them were as prominent as ever.
"Will-"
"Like I said, it was nothing." he said suddenly. "Don't worry about it." he said curling up. "It was nothing compared to what you guys had to go through." I stared at him. So that's why he never talked about his problems, not to me anyway. I smiled sadly."Will, it doesn't matter what I went we went through, you saved so many lives! Without you and your siblings, we would've been dead before we could have stopped Gaia." I took his hand, making him blush. "We saw people die in combat, but it was never our fault! I know you. With your overly-righteous values and your desperation to help everyone, the fact that people died in your clinic would have killed you." He looked at his knees. I swiveled around to face him. " They were going to die anyway." I said staring at him. "It wouldn't have mattered what you did, it was their destiny to die then and there. Of course it was hard for us, but that doesn't change the fact it was hard for you too." he looked away from the fire and smiled at me.
"Thanks Neeks." he mumbled into his knees. I rolled my eyes at the fact he was embarrassed, and kissed his nose.
"No problem sunshine. But we should probably get to bed now." I said standing up. He pouted.
"But it's so warm here!" he whined. I smiled down at him and pulled him up.
"Come on Will."~UNKNOWN~
"This is ridiculous!" yelled Dolos frustrated. "You said they'll make him pay!" his voice cracked at the end of the sentence as he glared at Hecate. She calmly continued to stir the mixture in her cauldron.
"You know Dolos, for the god of trickery, you're quite terrible at spotting a lie." she said spooning the mixture into a glass valve. "Besides. They will be making him pay, just not directly." Hatred seethed off Dolos as he strood up to Hecate. How dare she!"You said," he said shaking. "that they would make him pay for what he did to Bella." Hecate surveyed the hooded god, before returning to her work.
"Yes, I did." she held up the valve, and dropped a few drops of blue liquid into it, turning the potion green. "But I also said we are lucky that they've even met Monica, let alone found out about the Horcrux." She poured the green potion into a shallow stone basin. "This is the issue with you gods." she said rummaging through a cupboard. "You get worked up too easily."
"Worked up too easily?" he said incredulously. "I loved her!" Hecate looked back at him, but this time with a softer gaze.
"Yes, yes you did." she said smiling. "And he didn't, I know. But if I can't get these done soon, Voldemort will never be killed. And I'm sure you wouldn't want him alive, would you." She pulled out a small box and grinned. "Here it is."The males curiosity struggled with his anger for a moment, before overcoming it. He walked over to Hecate and peered over her shoulder. "What are you doing?" The titan chuckled.
"Making necklaces." the god frowned, and took off his hood.
"What good would that do?" he asked.Hecate smiled, and picked four gems out of the box. A garnet, amethyst, amber and obsidian. She dropped them into the liquid, causing a cloud of green smoke to fly up away from the basin. When it cleared, the basin was empty except for four round gemstones, which glittered in the faint lighting.
"These, I hope, will help the children with their nightmares."

Okay, so with the last bit I'd written a part like this earlier. I don't think it was published, or at least I can't find it. Could someone please tell me if it was, because if it wasn't I'll have to alter the plotline a little bit. Just a yes or no will do, and if it's yes, please comment the chapter number along with it. Sorry I'm so disorganized, but I'm panicking cause I can't find it.
