Will's POV

The green cloaked witch fell silent immediately, and instead proceeded to glare at my bedsheets as if they'd personally offended her. Madam Pomfrey busied herself with Pipers head, which had a bandage around it.

Snape strode through the silent stone room uninterrupted, his footsteps clacking against the floor and echoing around the infirmary. I shuddered. This guy does not look like someone to cross. He looked at me, his black eyes glinted in the weak evening light. They looked deep and dark and mysterious, but they had with no warmth in them. Almost merciless.

He made a beeline for my bed and stood at the foot of it, staring down at me coldly. I tried to look back, but instead adverted my eyes. His gaze was unwavering, and he seemed to be analyzing me.

"You are Will Solace, correct?" His question hung in the suffocating silence, and for a second I thought he might not have said it. I glanced back up at him. "Yes."
"Yes sir." he spat, leaning over me. I repeated the phrase quietly, wondering why this man was making me so nervous.

"Why did you and your companions have such a bad reaction to the Dementors?" I shrugged, and mumbled that I didn't know. He sneered. "Ah, but you do know Mr Solace. You're just choosing not to reveal it." I felt a tugging sensation in my head, and before I could do anything my worst memories swam to the front of my mind.

Fragments of my life flashed before my eyes. The seven coming back to camp, the infirmary overflowing with patients during the war, Piper collapsing, Leo dying, Octavian being shot from a catapult.. okay maybe that one wasn't too bad. My mum crying, the battle of Manhattan, Nico fading.....

"Will!" I was brought back to reality with a jolt, my eyes darting around the room. I looked at Nico, who'd just called my name. I stared at him for a moment taking in his familiar features. his black hair was illuminated by the sunlight, and his arms looked even paler against the bleached white bedsheets. Then I leaned back onto my pillow pressing my hands to my eyes. He was fine... calm down. After my breathing slowed down, I looked across the room toward Piper and Hazel. Hazel smiled softly and mouthed, you okay? I nodded.

So that's what it's like to have your mind invaded. How did he do it? We're demigods! Aren't we supposed to be stronger than that? Well... I was weak after the dementor attack I guess. But how could he read my minds so easily? I sat up and lowered my hands. What if he did that to one of the others? It was hard to distinguish reality from the memories for a moment, what if he did it to Nico? He'd freak out! Piper and Hazel were on the Argo...

"So." said the greasy haired man triumphantly. "Where were you when those things happened? Huh? You certainly haven't had an easy life so far... and you were the first to wake up." I looked up at him. "Yes, I know that. You had the least-dramatic reaction..." he turned to Nico slowly. "What about you?" I widened my eyes and stared at him. This is not good.

Nico turned to me. "He just invaded your mind, didn't he." he said looking sick. I nodded. Piper and Hazel tensed, looking like they were about to get up and stop him. I shot them a look. We were here for a reason, we can't get expelled now. Luckily, he was stopped my Madam Pomfrey.

"This is a hospital wing!" she cried looking livid. She walked towards Snape with a raised finger. "You have no right to do that! I don't care how much power you have or how many people you've killed! Get out!" She said pointing at the door and glaring at him. He looked back with contempt, but proceeded to turn around and leave. I sighed, falling back.

"Well." I said forcing a smile. "That wasn't enjoyable." Nico chuckled.
"Not enjoyable? You went crazy for a second there Will." I smiled back at him. "Not the hardest thing we've done." Piper and Hazel grinned.

"You're lucky he didn't ask you about that language you were speaking." Said Madame Pomfrey bustling around again. "I gather that having your mind read is not an enjoyable experience." I shook my head, taking another piece of chocolate from her.

"By the way, my name is Professor McGonagle. If you don't mind me asking, what was it that you used on your peers earlier Mr Solace?" said Professor McGonagle analyzing me over the rim of her square glasses. I swallowed, and grinned.
"If I'm being honest I do mind you asking actually..." I saw Piper stifle a laugh. "It's called Unicorn Draught. Homemade recipe, mum's not sure whether it'll work on other kids." I said shrugging.
"Interesting..." she said leaning back.

"Gee Will. You're pretty good at making up cover stories." said Nico grinning. I smirked. "What can I say, it's one of my many talents." I said flipping my hair. He laughed, I melted, you know the drill.

"What language is that?"
"Greek." said Nico. She nodded.
"And all of you, can speak Greek?" she asked suspiciously. "Last I checked, only Hazel and Nico were related." I shot the others a panicked look. I did not have a cover story for this.

"Our parents thought it would be useful for us to learn another language." said Piper awkwardly. I looked at her. She shot me a look that said, I have no idea where this is going. McGonagle looked at us, clearly unimpressed. "Really... do you know any other languages?"

"Yeah." said Hazel casually. "I speak Latin, Nico speaks Italian, and Piper speaks French. Will was learning Greek, and we all thought it would be cool to join him."

"Nice save!" I said smiling. She grinned. "I've had experience." she said shrugging.
McGonagle didn't look convinced, but let us off the hook. "Alright. Anyway, you weren't sort.." she trailed off, and her eyes misted over.

"Professor?" asked Hazel almost out of bed. "Are you alright?"
"Yes..." murmured Professor McGonagle. She straightened up, and resumed her business-like tone. "Solace and Di Angelo, you're both in Slytherin, and the girls are in Ravenclaw. Get your dorm-mates to show you around, breakfast is available until 8:00, classes start tomorrow. Usually they start second day of term, but Severus has made many... uh... unwelcomed changes." She turned back to Madame Pomfrey. 'Discharge them tomorrow Poppy. They can't miss their first lesson of year." She then walked out promptly.

"Well. That was weird." said Piper. "At this rate, we're gonna be dead by the end of term." Hazel nodded, but Nico frowned. "Wait a minute... we're gonna stay in dorms?" he looked at me suddenly worried. "What about our nightmares?
