It's been 11 years since Alaric had the letter, and he couldn't find the girl. The twins eventually knew about the girl, but they weren't happy at all with the idea of finding the daughter of Kai Parker and her going to the Salvatore boarding school.
Josie was maybe a little more understanding, especially knowing Hope, who was the daughter of someone even worst, but she was just as bad as anyone could be. Lizzie was just the opposite. She couldn't understand why they would try to help the daughter of the one who killed her mother and wanted to kill them. She was raised by her father, and probably her mother was just like him. Getting her to the school would only make things worse. But the Saltzman family didn't have to care about it, because they didn't find any clue that would lead them to the girl. All that they knew was that she was around sixteen years old, and that she wasn't anywhere near Mystic Falls. They couldn't even do a location spell, because they didn't have anything of her. However, faith had other plans, and one day, Alaric went with hope to find two supernatural beings. One of them being Rosalyn.
In New York, Rosalyn was cleaning the closed cafeteria. Her mother's boyfriend was the owner of it, and let her clean for a few bucks it while no one was there. She had an hour before everyone came back, but with a little magic, an hour was a lot of time.
She was currently cleaning the counter without magic, when she saw a man and a girl around her age. The black-haired girl looked at them, and then looked at the open sign and sighed, knowing that she would have to do the work. They both opened the door, and they both sat in front of her.
-Are you alone? -the blue-eyed girl asked.
-Why do you care? -replied the witch.
-We're searching for something, someone, and we have to be discreet about it.
Somehow, Rosalyn knew that they were talking about her, or at least a witch, but she didn't know why.
-A witch? -she asked cautiously.
-I'm guessing that you're the witch. Aren't you? -the other girl said.
-Hope... -the man spoke- we haven't introduced, my name is Alaric Saltzman, Dr. Saltzman. I'm the headmaster of a special school, with people like you. That's why we are here, we want to help you.
-And I am Hope Mikaelson. Fellow student and the one who helps Dr. Saltzman with the recruitment.
-I am Rosalyn Parker, syphoner, but I guess that you know that -the green-eyed girl gave Alaric her hand, but he was zoned out.
There were many coincidences. A syphoner, by the last name Parker, and her features were really similar to Kai's.
-So... There's a father or a mother to talk to? They know about your magic, we should be able to talk them about this -Alaric quickly talked, trying to find anything that connected the dots.
