As Rosalyn got out of the bathroom, she couldn't help but think about the basketball match. It was the first one from the school, and it was in school. Everyone went to see it, from teachers to the kids, they were there.
And surprisingly enough, the cheerleader team was there. The green-eyed girl was surprised when she saw Penelope there, as the head cheerleader. She thought that the hazel-eyed girl wouldn't be there, but she was. And Josie was also in the crowd, watching her playing, and screaming every now and then for support. But in the field, she didn't paid attention, because she was the captain, and she was being watched by the scouts.
Even though it was just a normal match, given the fact that they were late for the tournament, she felt a lot of pressure, a lot of things could go wrong, and she could lose a lot.
However, Rosalyn would caught herself looking at her ex-friend in every quarter break, and then, she would remind herself that Penelope didn't speak to her anymore, and then would focus herself on her main goal. To impress the scouts so they give her a scholarship.
That part was, in fact, hard. Back in New York, she knew that there were some scouts watching her team. But there, in the Salvatore School, a new team, she didn't know what to expect, or if her opportunity for the scholarship was lost.
The Salvatore Stallions won 66-54, and Rosalyn couldn't be prouder of herself, the Hawks were a great team, but after a really hard match, they won. And they were excited about it and the whole school roared at the final, when it was clear that they had won.

But she didn't mind they had won, neither about the fact that she might not get a scholarship, all she cared about was the proud smile on Penelope's face. She cared about how the hazel-eyed girl would celebrate her every time she scored, and she deep down knew that Penelope was cheering for her.
Rosalyn knew in that very moment, as she dried her hair with the towel, that she needed to get the shorter girl out of her mind for good, even though it hurt like hell and it took a lot of time. The first step was stopping caring about everything she did, and the amount of attention she got, not only from her friends, but from the school after she won, was probably more than she liked, but it helped to not think about hazel eyes, smirks, and a beautiful but hurtful kiss.

-So here's my Michael Jordan -Jasmine smiled as she got outside the room- I thought you were already downstairs.

-I needed to take a good shower and get rid of the sweat, now I'm going to get my clothes in the closet and then I'm good to go.

-Aren't you going to wash it? -The ginger girl asked horrified as she opened the door.

-The shorts. I never washed my jersey, it washes the luck out of it -Rosalyn explained.

-And I won't hug you again while you're wearing that. Now come on, I want to go downstairs, I'm in a mood for a party.

-Saltzman asked me to go to his office after taking a shower, so go ahead, I see you there.
