The real face of Carter Dalton
Me? Writing a chapter more from Penelope's and Jasmine's perspective but not from Rosalyn's? Unbelievable.
Penelope Park woke up the next day with a lot of feelings, which in the last months wasn't weird to say. Ever since she walked away from Rosalyn's life she had been in a tornado of emotions. She felt guilty, because she was giving Josie hopes when she was fully aware that her heart didn't belong to her. She felt sad, because she knew that she would never be able to be with Rosalyn. And she felt angry. Angry because she let Carter's words in, because her she won't ever be enough for Rosalyn, but above all, she was angry because she didn't fight for the girl she liked, she just gave in.
But all of that didn't matter now, Carter was her boyfriend, and Penelope was the soon-to-be girlfriend of Josie. With that thought in mind, Penelope got dressed and walked out of the room. She never knew how good she was lying until she had to pretend that she was fine, that she thought she did the right choices. No one knew that she wasn't alright.
Not them, just her. Every time Rosalyn got close to her, she couldn't lie, she couldn't help but let out all that she was hiding. That's why the night before she asked her to stay quiet, because she knew that Rosalyn would tell her how much she loved her, and Penelope wouldn't be able to keep her words to herself, and at the end of the party, the green-eyed girl would have convinced her to stay, and Penelope was sure that she would've accepted.
But she also knew that Rosalyn was getting better without her. She had more friends, she seemed happy, she was starting to outstand on her classes, and she had Carter now. There was no reason why she would need to go back to Rosalyn, at least not now that she was perfectly fine, and Penelope could find some kind of solace in Josie's arms. After all, she decided to give another opportunity to the Saltzman twin and not give one chance to the Parker syphoner. But that didn't stop her from worrying about her ex-friend, and it seemed like she wasn't the only one.
-Alright, you're lucky that I don't trust Carter, otherwise, I would have kick your ass a long time ago.
-That's, among a lot of other things that I'm trying to talk about. If we are going to investigate Carter, I need you to know the truth.
-Why me and not Rosalyn?
-I... I think that, if we get something about him, I would show her the truth, I'm sure this is part of some wicked plan he has.
-I think you sound jealous, Park -Jasmine teased- But what if it's not a plan and you just messed up?
-Then, I'm out of her life for good. I'll even get out of the school and I'll go to Belgium with my mother.
-I heard about it once, after Miss Mystic Falls like a year ago, but here you are.
