It was game day, and Rosalyn was sitting with Hope, Carter, MG, and Kaleb. The Parker girl was murdering her lunch, and while everyone was thinking that it was related to her nerves, Hope knew that it had a lot to do with Penelope.
-Okay, fess up. How long since you last talked with Penelope? -The trybrid whispered-
-Well...
Since Rosalyn found Penelope with Josie, the taller girl not only stopped talking with her friend, but also started to see her as the actual devil. The shorter girl tried to explain, to get close to her again, but Rosalyn couldn't let her in again.
-I think it was... A month and a half? Not that I am counting, but I guess so.
Truth be told, the syphoner missed the girl with every part of her soul, but she couldn't go back to her. Not when Penelope didn't seem to care about her.
-But I am fine. I have Carter, I have the team, I have Jasmine, I have you... I don't have anything to worry about.
Penelope, on the other side, was doing everything she could to get Rosalyn back. Even if that meant go asking for help to Emma and Alaric.
-... Can you help me or nah? -the witch asked the counselor, ending with the story.
-Penelope, I see that you care about her, but you have to understand that you lied to her, and given her disorder, she's going to see this as treason, and even though she hates you, she cares about you.
-Yeah, but what do I do? She doesn't want to be near me, she doesn't listen, she doesn't even stay in the same room as me, how I can make her forgive me? -Penelope asked concerned-
-Well, people like her tend to forgive easily after a great thing you do, to them you can be either an angel or a demon. So, probably if you do something good for her, she would think good things about you. However, I think that you should give her some time.
-I can't do it, Emma. I care about her, you know?
Suddenly, the woman seemed to be especially interested in that statement.
-Do you want to talk about it?
Penelope wasn't a girl who went with Emma to talk about her and what was going on in her life. At first, when Penelope stopped to speak with Emma, Alaric and Emma were concerned about the fact that the short girl didn't talk to anyone about what was going on in her mind, but eventually, they stopped asking and let her be. Now, the hazel-eyed girl was willingly talking about an important relationship in her life.
-No... -she looked everywhere but Emma's face, and then sighed- Yes. Ever since the whole "Josie's evil ex" thing, I was feeling alone. Yes, I did have a group of friends around, but they weren't the kind of friends that you went and talked about things that really matter.
