A/N: Hey everyone! Just wanted to warn you that I'm going to be doing a few time skips in this chapter. I wanted to jump ahead at least to Harry being about six years old then jump again to him being ten with their wedding somewhere in the middle. I know its a lot, but I want to progress this story so I don't have a billion chapters. Enjoy!

Sirius remained quiet for about three weeks. He took care of Harry; made sure the boy had everything he could need, but he wouldn't leave the house. Walburga's funeral passed by, and Remus found a Daily Prophet smoldering in the fireplace the same day. A photo of the Black family minus Sirius on the front page. Remus wasn't sure how to make things better and Andromeda would stop by any chance she had. When Friday hit, however, Remus had had enough.

"Sirius, I need to make a trip to Diagon Alley and you're coming with me." Remus stood, with Harry on his hip, over the long haired man. Sirius quirked an eyebrow at his boyfriend before turning his eyes back to the ceiling.

"No, I'm not."

"Sirius Orion Black get up." Remus kept his voice steady as Harry mumbled next to his ear, playing with Remus's shirt collar.

"Remus John Lupin, I said no." Sirius's voice was tight as he clenched his jaw. He really didn't want to go. He'd rather stay in the house. Remus groaned and ran a hand over his scarred face.

"Listen, I know this is hard, but Sirius it's been weeks. You need to get out and do something."

"So, my brother is missing, possibly dead, and you want me to go to the market with you." His tone was flat, but the words were meant to bite. Remus held his tongue for a moment, trying to not pick a fight. He had to do this carefully.

"That isn't what I meant." Harry began to reach for Sirius, whining. The longer haired man sat up and grabbed his Godson, avoiding Remus's eyes. Both of them were trying to remain calm so as to not anger the other. Remus's voice was soft as he watched Sirius hold Harry close to his chest,

"I'm sorry. I don't want to push, but Sirius, you're worrying me." He took his bottom lip between his teeth, eyes stinging when he was avoided yet again. Looking toward the ceiling, he sighed and made sure his wand was on him.

"Harry needs a nap. Be sure he takes it." Remus kissed the top of Harry's head before he walked out the front door, slamming it behind him. Sirius flinched slightly at the sound, but Harry wasn't phased.

"Moomy." Harry tucked his head against Sirius's neck, yawning.

"He'll be back in a little while." Sirius swallowed hard as he stood to take Harry up to the nursery. He sat down in the rocker adjusting the baby boy accordingly, flicking his wand to make the turntable in the corner of the room begin to play. The music began to flow softly throughout the room making Harry sigh contentedly against his chest.

Sirius stared at a spot on the floor, his chest aching. He knew what he was doing to Remus wasn't fair. He also knew the aurors were doing what they could to look for Regulus. Whether it was to make sure he was alive or simply to arrest him was an entirely different story. They had to know what Regulus had been a part of. Most likely judging him based off of what his family had been. Sirius's mouth was dry.

He shook his head and glanced down at Harry, who luckily had gone to sleep easily. Sirius put him down gently in his crib placing his stuffed lion next to the boy. He watched him for a few minutes as Harry yawned. He left the door open wide as he made his way back downstairs. Maybe he could make it up to Remus. He moved into the kitchen and set about making lunch. The alarm went off, signaling someone coming in from the floo. He glanced through the entry way between the kitchen and living room to see Andromeda dusting herself off.
