Eight

When Sirius cracked open his eyes the next morning it didn't take him long to realize that he wasn't in his own bed. He propped himself up on his elbows and looked around. His eyes landed on Remus and his shoulders relaxed. He reached over and pushed some of Remus's hair off of his forehead. The previous night made itself known after a moment, jolting him awake even further. He rolled over checking Harry's bassinet and sighed when he found that his Godson was still asleep.

There was a soft knock before the door popped open, revealing his younger cousin, poking her head through. Her hair was a bright, bubblegum pink today and he couldn't help, but smirk as he thought about the chaos it would cause within the Black family if they knew. Tonks slid into the room just a little more, grabbing his attention.

"Mum wanted me to tell you that lunch is ready when you are up and about."

"Thanks 'Dora. I'll get these two awake and then we'll be down." She sent him a soft smile, her eyes flickering between him and Remus before closing the door. A hand perched against his lower back, softly.

"Oh good, you're awake. That means I won't have to fight with you."

"You weren't exactly whispering. I'm surprised Harry didn't wake up as well. Do we know the time?" Remus sat up, ruffling his hair and yawning. Sirius sighed, trying to gather up the momentum to leave his place in the bed.

"She mentioned lunch so maybe about noon?" Remus stood and began rifling through his rucksack for clean clothes. Sirius began to follow suit before he noticed that Harry was in a different set of clothes than he had been.

"We must've slept through him waking up this morning."

"So, should we wake him up now? Or did 'Drom just get him down for a nap?"

"I say let him sleep." Sirius pulled a black tee shirt on before twisting his hair into a top knot. Remus stood by the door, waiting as the other man glanced at Harry once more.

"C'mon, he's fine. Let's get downstairs." Sirius nodded as he followed Remus from the room, leaving the door open just the slightest bit.

When they walked into the kitchen they found Arthur leaning against one of the counters.

"Ah, there you are. Have a seat and tuck in, you two." Andromeda gave them a grin as she placed a pitcher of pumpkin juice in front of them.

"Thanks, did you just put Harry down for a nap?"

"Oh yes, he woke up pretty early this morning. I'm surprised you slept through it. He's a vocal little chap."

"Sorry about that." Remus grimaced as Andromeda waved him off.

"Nonsense, we had a great time. I still had a lot of Nymphadora's old toys in the attic. Anyways, Arthur here has come to drop off some paperwork for you." Arthur moved and passed a file to Sirius, who quickly cracked it open.

"This is for the house out by the Burrow. There are pictures and the price is listed on the back page. Take your time in looking it over. I know we are a little pressed for time, but this will still be a new home and you both should at least like it. Just let me know if you want to set up a viewing appointment."

"Thank you, Arthur. Remus and I will look over this after lunch and owl you. Does that sound okay?"

"Sounds great to me. Also can you owl Molly? She's worried about the three of you." Arthur quirked his eyebrows at the two of them.

"Will do."

"Fantastic. Well, I have to get back to the office, but I should see you both soon. Thank you for the drink, Andromeda." He sent them all a wave before walking into the living room, leaving with whooshing sound.
