Sirius woke before Remus the next morning. As he looked over, dread filled the pit of his stomach. Remus was going to be alone tonight. Quietly, Sirius slid out of their shared bed. He closed their door and cast a silencing charm to keep any noises from waking Remus. He peeked to make sure Harry was still sleeping before padding down the stairs.

Yawning, he stumbled into the kitchen and began preparing a light breakfast for Remus and some eggs for himself. He had just finished when Harry began to make noise. When he walked into the nursery Harry looked at him excitedly.

"C'mon, let's go get Uncle Moony." He tickles Harry under the chin as they walked across the hall. Muffled noises came from the other side of the door. The moment Sirius pushes the door open his hands covered Harry's ears.

"Bloody hell, where's the fucking potion from Drom?" Sirius kept Harry close to his chest blocking his ears as he grabbed the vial off the bedside table.

"Here." Remus quickly uncorked and downed the potion, grimacing.

"I take it it's really bad this morning."

"No, it's all peaches." Remus's eyes were closed as he leaned against the headboard. Harry cooed softly, squirming in Sirius's arms. Changing his hold on Harry his lips pursed.

"Umm, I made you some breakfast whenever you're ready. Just figured I'd make sure you were up and see if you needed anything." Sirius turned to leave to give Remus some time for the potion to kick in. There was a hand placed against Sirius's thigh.

"I'm sorry, thank you."

"I understand, love. You're in pain." Sirius leaned down and placed a kiss against Remus's forehead.

"I wish you'd tell me that you want to box me 'round the ears sometimes. I question the healthiness of our relationship." Remus tried to laugh, but stopped with a shaky breath. Sirius smirked.

"Pssh, we all know I would win. I wouldn't want to hurt your pride." He took a seat next to Remus, careful not to jostle him too much. Things were quiet except for Harry's ramblings and Remus's semi-labored breathing.

"I wish you'd let me go with you tonight. Molly could watch Harry an-"

"Pads, I'll be fine on my own. You need to take care of Harry."  Sirius scowled as he stood up suddenly.

"I'll be downstairs if you need me."

"Pads." Sirius left the door open as he disappeared around the corner. Downstairs he placed Harry in his playpen before flopping onto the couch, sulking.

"Surely he doesn't expect me to stay home every full moon, does he Harry?" Sirius glanced at the baby boy lying there with his fingers in his mouth.

"Right, I am talking to a baby." He ran his fingers through his hair quickly. Harry waved his arms around wildly, trying to make more noise. Sirius heard the stairs creaking behind him and tried not to turn around. He found the nearest book and popped it open. Remus began rummaging in the kitchen as he found the still warm breakfast Sirius had made.

"Thank you for breakfast." Remus joined him on the couch as he timidly tried to get Sirius to look at him. It was no use. Remus finished rather quickly and turned to Sirius.

"Sirius, you're acting like you're fifteen again." Sirius snapped the book shut before facing his boyfriend. His jaw was set and locked as he waited for Remus to say something else.

"It's not that I don't want you with me. I always feel better when you are, but we have to think of Harry. He barely survived time with Andromeda after only being with us. Think of how he was acting when he was with Petunia." Sirius felt the steam behind his own argument leave his body the more he thought.
