"Hello, Sirius." The long, dark haired woman offered him a small smile.
Sirius hadn't seen his cousin in a long time. Once she had been blasted off the family tree for marrying her muggle husband, it had been difficult for him to visit her. His mother had made sure of that. Once he was over the initial shock of her standing in front of him, he pulled her into a hug.
"It's so good to see you." He buried his face into her neck as she wrapped her arms around him.
"I'm sorry, I haven't been here sooner. I just - with your trial and everything going on. I know how closed off you can get." He pulled back when he realized his cousin had tears in her eyes. He noticed movement behind her and found a girl standing there awkwardly with teal hair. He couldn't believe his eyes, that couldn't be his cousin. It was quiet as he tried to process that she was actually in front of him.
"Sirius, who is it?" Remus walked up from behind, his eyes landing on Andromeda. He quickly passed Harry of to Sirius to wrap the woman in his arms. Andromeda laughed softly as she hugged him back, squeezing as hard as she could. When Remus stepped away he asked,
"Why are you here?"
"Dumbledore sent me an owl. He's been keeping me informed on everything that has been going on, and he mentioned that you had a new charge in your care. I figured I would stop by and bring you a few things."
It was that moment that Sirius realized they were still standing in the doorway and ushered his cousins inside.
"This can't be my baby cousin."
"Pipe down, Siri. I'm obviously not a baby anymore." Tonks rolled her eyes at her cousin before giving him a side hug.
"Sorry, Dora, but it's been too long." The four of them and Harry moved into the living room to sit down.
"Dromeda, I don't know if you've ever even seen a photo of Harry."
"I haven't, but oh my he is adorable. Do you mind if I hold him?"
Sirius bit his lip, but he knew that he couldn't constantly keep Harry to himself. He wouldn't be able to hold him forever. He nodded and gently passed him to Andromeda's arms. Harry cooed slightly, his lips pursed into an 'o' as he stretched in her hold.
"Hello there, little one, aren't you precious." Andromeda's face lit up as she tickled Harry under his chin, making him smile a little. Tonks growing curious moved to peek at Harry over her mother's shoulder. Harry grinned and grew excited as he reached for her hair. Tonks began changing it over and over, making Harry giggle ecstatically. Andromeda looked up at her cousin and Remus.
"How are you boys holding up?"
"It's hard, but we're happy to at least have Harry with us. We're going to have to start planning their services soon. . ." Remus placed a hand on Sirius's knee trying to keep him relaxed.
"Have you heard anything on the search for Peter?"
"No, we've pretty much stayed put here, too busy trying to get everything set up for Harry. I don't know what we're going to do around bedtime. Harry's never stayed anywhere other than Godric's Hollow."
"He'll adjust. He seems to be a rather resilient little boy." Harry began to get a little fussy, no longer interested in Tonk's color changing. The older woman's attention turned back to the little boy as she tried to convince him to smile.
"Oh dear, what's wrong, little one?" Harry grew increasingly fussy as she finally realized the issue.
"I believe, he's in need of a change." Remus stood and picked Harry up.
