When Sirius woke up the next day, Remus was no longer beside him. Sitting up, he looked around the room, rubbing the sleep from his eyes. Everything in the house was quiet, peaceful for the moment. Harry hadn't cried for the rest of the night, at least not until he was hungry. Things had gone smoothly. Sirius was about to stand up to go find two of his favorite boys when there was a loud shattering of glass from downstairs. Bolting from the room, he raced to the bottom of the stairs where he heard Remus cursing in the kitchen as Harry giggled.

"Harry, did you really find that funny? Does Uncle Moony dropping porcelain on the floor tickle your funny bone?"

Sirius walked into the kitchen with a smirk on his face, gaining Remus's attention. Remus rolled his eyes and motioned to some parchment and ink on the table.

"What did you shatter?"

"Just the teapot, I'll have it cleaned up in a moment. Will you owl Molly?"

Sirius gave Harry a small peck on the head before sitting down in his seat. When he finished writing he gestured to Remus to sign next to his name as Sirius called softly for their owl, who came swooping in much to Harry's delight. Remus handed Sirius the envelope as the latter smiled at Harry's little smiles.

"Here ya go, Ceph. Please take this to Molly and can you wait until she has her reply? I don't trust that owl of theirs, ditzy little thing." Cepheus hooted softly before taking off.

"I still can't believe you used the star naming tradition on our owl." Remus smirked as he sat down next to Sirius, who rolled his eyes.

"As if you have any business in names, Mr. Werewolf McWerewolf."

"Whatever you say, Starboy." Remus stuck his tongue out at Sirius childishly. Harry's giggles grabbed both of their attention, only for them to find banana smashed all over the place.

"Harry James Potter, what are we going to do with you." Sirius tried not to laugh as he began taking Harry's pajamas off.

"I'll go get some bath water ready." Remus tugged lightly on the ends of Sirius's hair before heading upstairs.

Once Harry was free of his smushed banana pajamas, Sirius lifted him up, tossing him in the air slightly. Harry squealed happily as they made their way up the stairs. Walking into the nursery, Sirius began stage whispering to his Godson,

"Prongslet, where did your uncle Moony go? Hmm? Can you tell me?"

Harry began babbling and pointing about and when they made it to the door of the adjoining bathroom they found Remus perched on the counter top with his head in his hands. Harry cooed softly and reached out wanting to be in Remus's arms. Sirius tried to pretend that his partner wasn't wiping tears away before taking Harry.

"Hey, pup let's get you cleaned up."

Sirius leaned in the doorway, watching Remus closely. Remus entertained Harry with a watery smile, which nearly broke Sirius.

"Can you lay the towel out, love?"

Once Harry was bundled up in a towel Remus shuffled past him and began getting Harry ready. Sirius handed clothes over and the three of them went back down to the living room.

"C'mere, let's talk." Sirius took Harry and placed him in the playpen before tugging Remus to the couch. Remus sat quietly and Sirius waited.

"I just got to thinking about James and Lily, and it just hit me again."

"Moony. . ."

"I know. I just miss them, Pads. I miss them and I worry about Harry, and I can't help but wonder if we're going to be good enough to raise him."
