Chapter 13: The Real Encounter

The beginning was a blur. It seemed like two new people arrived, siblings, I think? I eventually was able to get up. The darker-colored skin girl had a flower crown in her head, and a star tattoo on her face, below her left eye. Her long, purple hair went over her right eye. Her eyes were purple, and her sister (I assume it was her sister) was pretty similar. But literally polar opposites. We'll get into that later.

Her sister had pale skin, and she also had purple eyes, but they seemed different, but I couldn't point it out. Their hair may as well should've been the same, but she wore a moon hair clip in her hair.

They absolutely destroyed the Darkened Minion.

Took me a while to figure out, but I learned she isn't a kid.
I took this into consideration.
The Flower Crown girl said, "Is Everybody Okay?" Her voice filled me with alertness, it sounded quite nice. But I didn't let my guard down.
"I guess, but who are you?" I asked.
"Oh my goodness I am so sorry I forgot to introduce myself." I wasn't buying her kindness. "My name is Nova, and this is my sister Ahmya. We saw someone trying to attack the other thing so we sorta helped. What about this one?" Nova asked.
It took me a bit to process, but she was basically asking whether she would kill me or not. I was still in Dusk form.
"Oh! Wait please don't!" I yelled, and braces myself.
"It's fine," Halo said, "It's... complicated."
I noticed Angel was farther. I understood why.
"But," Halo started, "Why'd you come here in the first place? And how?"
"Me and my sister got a notification that there was something going on here. I sensed someone entered another dimension, and Nova created the portal to come here." Ahmya said.
"Oh... um... Dusk, are you gonna turn back?" Halo asked me.
I wasn't planning to.
Well, that's Dawn/Dusk, Dusk right now, I'm Halo, that's Angel and she's Gwen." Gwen waved to them.
"Also, Dusk, sweetie, we aren't gonna hurt you, as long as you don't cause any problems." Nova said. It didn't matter.
Or at least, that's what I thought.
After thinking for a few seconds, I could finally put my finger on it.
"This is a facade!" I stated.
"What?!" Halo asked, surprised and startled.
"They're here to stop us, I know it!" I made a spear.
They seemed startled, but I ignored it.
I mean, think about it, why would they come to help us? What's the point? Why would they, two random people, come to this dimension to simply help?
Answer: Because they could.
Ahmya then got ready to fight.
"Ahmya stop! She's just frightened."
"Wait, no!" Halo pleaded.
I'd show him what they were up to, I told myself.
Angel and Gwen hid, since they knew what was gonna happen.
I started to back up, and they thought I wasn't gonna fight after that.
Ahmya put her hands down.
"Don't do anything you'll regret, Dusk." Ahmya Said. She seemed not very nice.
I put my hand to the opposite shoulder, and pointed outwards. And did the same with my other hand. Then, two Spears formed in the sky, pointed toward them. Just like I wanted.
Nova got her sword out, and Ahmya got ready for something, I'm not sure.
"Dusk... Calm down..." Halo said, backing away from the danger zone.
I threw my arms down, and the Spears went flying at them.
Then Nova changed their direction to me.
I didn't know what I was getting into.
I made them disappear in a panic, because they were going fast. As I was walking back, I stepped on a red shard that dropped from the darkened, and my heart in the middle of my chest turned red.
I felt a boost of power.
"What happened to the heart thing?" Nova said, lowering her sword.
I ran to them and tried to attack Nova, but Halo jumped forward and parried it with his halo pieces.
A small little piece chipped off.
I saw Nova fall back in shock, and Ahmya looked pissed.
And then she started
To shoot moons?
I'm not sure how, and I didn't have time to see, but I just booked it.
And I could run fast, for some reason.
I kept running, and eventually, it stopped. I think, I didn't look back.
Then, when I did, a sword was following me. Why? How? I don't know.
After a while I got tired, so I turned, stopped, and fired Spears at it. It just came and cut the side of my face. I had fallen over, face first in the sand. I got up, and noticed I felt weak.
Then Nova started to walk over.
Out of fear, I fired Spears at her.
She just kept walking, taking every hit.
"Dusk, let me heal you." Nova said.
I looked down, and asked, "W-What are you doing?"
She put her hand on the side of my face, and whispered something. I felt better after that. I saw the red glow on my heart fade. I turned back to normal.
I felt very sorry, but I was too embarrassed to say it. "Um... I-I'm sorry... are you okay?" I asked quietly.
"I'm fine sweetie, just a few cuts. What about you?" She asked.
"I'm... fine..." Though I was exhausted.
She walked me over to everyone, but Angel and Gwen still haven't come back, which I found odd.
I was looking at Ahmya, and said, "So... uh... I'm sorry..." I admitted.
""It's alright," Nova said, "But you have to agree with what Ahmya said earlier. Don't do something that you'll regret."
"She still doesn't have any respect. She hurt my sister." Ahmya said.
Something about that ticked me off.
And I lost control of my actions.
I clenched my fist, and Ahmya glared at me. I looked down, but with a smirk. I knew what I was going to do.
"She..." Halo tried to back me up.
"And... your not confused as to why a bunch of kids are in a dark desert and... well, I think you get the idea." Halo said.
"I was actually wondering that." Nova said. "What are you guys doing here?"

"You see, Dawn appeared in our village one day, and then we found out she was... we call them Darkened, and they usually are bad. But she doesn't seem all too bad, so..."
I shot a spear at Ahmya, but since I was looking down, I missed.
She immediately jumped away and shot a giant moon at me.
And I put up a giant shield.
I still have no control over my actions, and I was starting to get dazed.
All I know, is one second, I was fine.
The next, I couldn't think straight. Everything was a blur.
I think I was grabbed once. I don't know.
Eventually, I blacked out.
