Seven civilians were enjoying the enchanting area.
All of them had long blades on their back.
They weren't permanent.
I looked up, and saw a storm forming up in the sky, directly above us.
"That's why we're here." Halo explained.
"Sometime this morning, that was forming."
Lightning boomed in the air.
"And it's been doing that."
And then a pitch black wolf appeared.
"And then Darkened appear."
One of the warriors slashed them and they evaporated into dark gas and eventually went away.
"So it's like a summoner of black dogs?" I asked.
"Yes... but no. You see-"
But he was interrupted by a huge CRACK from the storm.
We all stood in awe, as a giant midnight dark golem with glowing purple eyes formed in front of us.
"Stay back." He said sternly.
The warrior with the largest sword told the rest to flee, and I stood behind a tree.
"Broken! Prepare for battle!" Said the general.
Halo looked in awe. "I thought I couldn't fight!"
"For this, we need you." He said.
He looked and then the golem smashed the ground under him, as he leaped out of the way. He pulled off the two halo shards and they began to tint red. His eyes also began to have a tint of red in them.
The General slashed the dark golem, but it hardly seemed to phase him. He was focused on Halo and Halo only.
"Broken! Get down! He's after you!" He ordered.
Halo tried to retreat, but the golem hit the ground in a form where it would make a wall in front of him. Then, the golem leaped.
Time seemed to slow. I lost my common sense in these moments, as if anger controlled me. I felt a surge of power in me. I clenched my fists, and then I ran at him, and he noticed. Halo and The General seemed in awe. Luckily, Halo took this opportunity to attack the golem, and slashed with his duel blade halo.
I then, with a sudden burst, jumped and then a dark mist appeared around me. A broadsword formed from it, and I jabbed him right in the back.
The sword faded and I fell off. The golem, however, disintegrated along with it. The giant cloud of mist compressed into a ball and then shot up. I regained control of my actions, and was too surprised and in shock to do anything.
They both stared at me.Inside the town hall, Halo, The General (who's name is Liam), and the other six warriors were sitting as I walked in when I took the moment to contain myself from before.
I sat, and saw that one seat was empty.
I looked at Halo, and he mouthed "Israel"
He eventually walked in after what seemed like ten minutes. Israel was around 16 and he has a trident on his back. His eyes were seafoam green. His hair was white, and he wore an aviary jacket, a light blue shirt and jeans. Very different from everyone else. He was also Latino.
"I think we all know why we're here today." He said.
"Let me speak before you all, if you may."
Everyone nodded.
"Very well," he said. "I am aware we have a Halo Wielder on the premises. I see that Liam also knows what's going on. And, I also see, that we have... that." He glared at me, and I fell back into my chair. I didn't like him.
"Now, where was I... oh yes, The Storm. It seems like we have to send some troops on a journey."
"Uhm... Israel, sir." Halo said nervously.
"Yes?"
"Uhm... the... the girl is... a Darkened."
Everyone but Liam was surprised by this. All I know is, so am I.
"You mean to tell me that this girl is dark? We must execute her at once!"
I shivered.
"No no no no! She's a good one! You see-"
"IMPOSSIBLE!"
Everyone hushed, and nobody dared to move.
"She is a Darkened, she must die."
"B-b-But-"
Israel glared at Halo.
"... she's... not entirely d-dark...?"
He considered this. I began to calm.
"I see. She can help us."
"Y-Yes! Now, if you would just-"
"You, The Darkened, And Liam will go and stop the storm!"
"What?! No, she needs to train and-"
"Have a good afternoon." Israel said very sternly, and everyone solemnly walked out.
