I opened my eyes, to see complete darkness. "Hello?" I call, but it seems I was underwater. "Dawn?" I called.

But nobody came.

I looked around. I looked down. I could hardly see the dark, sandy, goopy floor below me. I considered that I was underwater, but still just sat there. I felt some pressure, but not an awful lot.

I looked around hopelessly, but nothing hit rocks, dead coral, and black sand. But then, I saw a light come near...

It glowed, making it visible for a short distance, the water blue now. I heard a voice in my head,

Hello there Jacob.

The voice was deep, calm, and soothing. It echoed in my mind.

"W-What??" I said, baffled. . . Only Erin knew my name.

I said Hello. Is something wrong?

"I-uh-um... how do you know my name...?"

Because, you are my own. Jacob, please, you are trapped. Allow me to help you.

"O-okay... how?"

Simply reach for me.

I tried to reach for them, but then I found that I was chained to the ground by my right leg.

Oh, child, it seems he has gotten you.

"What?"

There are things that go on that you simply cannot understand without my eyes, Jacob.

"Uh... Okay."

I need you to call my name.

"What's your name...?"

I Am.

He disappeared 5 seconds after he said that.

"H-Hello?" I noticed my voice wasn't gurgled any longer.

"H-Help?!" The situation began to sink in. "I need help!" Out of panic, I tried to break the chain using my cracked halo. Sadly, all that happened was the color darkened. Which was very new, so I stopped immediately.

"Someone! Anyone! Please, help me!" I started to try and swim up. I tried to pull the chain out of the ground. I tried smashing it with a rock. I tried to hold my breath. . . But I couldn't bring myself to do it.

I lost track of time quickly, and any trace of light was gone. The Thing was far gone by now, and I was to the point of tears. I missed Dawn, I missed my little sister... I missed home...

I felt hungry, but that didn't matter to me. At least I wasn't thirsty.

After a while, I think it might've been a day, a total of 30 hours, I don't know what came to me, but I tore away the halo off my head, seemingly out of frustration, pointed it (like the hole was aimed)at the chain, and a giant, white laser fired.

I was immensely stunned, unable to comprehend what I even did. Nonetheless, I swap up. I swam and swam and swam, until I finally reached the surface. Any information from there was beyond my reach, as I apparently blacked out seconds after I reaches the night surface.
