Chapter 6: Dreams and secrets

 A/N:

Well hello again, I know it feels like forever since we've seen each other...well two weeks. Sorry for that! Anyway enjoy!

 

(Dan's Pov:)

My mind is fuzzy, the last remains of a dream being chased away with the realisation that I am now awake again, and the dream world that I've come to adore, is gone again... for another day at least. Usually I can't recall my dreams and don't usually care if I do, however this particular one had a tall unknown figure in it.

Their face was blurred, and so was most of the dream but I seem to remember the tall, colourful form to be well... Phil. Even though, yes I have no idea what he looks like... I don't even know if he is tall or anything. Though what I do know is that this Phil character that I've come to know and admire over the short time that I had spoken to him, was in my dream.  

Yet the thing that boggled my mind was; why was he even in my dreams? I haven't exactly known him long... barely a day at that. Although... he was on my mind all of yesterday and till the early hours of the morning.

I wonder if he was thinking about me as much as I am about him? Hah why would he? Don't get your hopes up that he cares as much as he says... no! Phil does care... well I think so anyway. I hope he was telling the truth... well even if he isn't, a boy can dream cant he?

But Phil is truly an amazing friend to have, and still he is wondering my dreams, and though this sounds incredibly cheesy; he makes them happier and brighter to have, instead of the dark, horrific nightmares I have of what's to come... if that makes any sense whatsoever.

But he somehow makes them better. I don't remember much, but what I do educe, is that we were talking about ourselves to one another, while walking through the hills of I think... Devon..? My favourite place... while the sun slowly sets and the clouds and sky merge into pinks and oranges. It was beautiful. Although it all came to an end eventually... Once I realized that I had to get up and go to the hell hole in my life... school.

I grudgingly walk to my un-suite bathroom and step out of my pjs and into the shower. The warm water cascading down my body, it felt so good to just wash all my worries away. I wash my hair and just sit down for a while, thinking about my dream and Phil; until I realize that I should probably get out of the shower and get ready for school, so I can get there before anyone else does. I step out the shower and brush my teeth while trying to muti-task and put my uniform on at the same time... let's just say I won't be trying to do that again...

As soon as I'm dressed I hear a ping from my phone and wonder whether it could be Phil or Chris. I quickly run over to my bed and unlock my phone to see a message from Chris. Needless to say I was a tad disappointed that it wasn't Phil, but I'm not complaining and he's not going to want to talk to me this early in the morning anyway:

[From Chris:]

Dandandandan, I've got something exciting to tell you when you get your butt to school, that I'm almost positive you'll like to hear! :]

Okay what the hell is it that he has to tell me? He knows I hate waiting for answers, but I am really curious to find out, so I guess I'll have to wait and get to school quicker.

[To Chris:]

 Dude you know I hate waiting! But fiiiine, I'll be there soon! :)

 Just before I put my phone in my pocket I hear it go off twice.

 [From Chris:]

Trust me mate, it's going to be worth the wait! :P

I see that there is also another message. But this time, it's from Phil. I smile widely as I read the it:

Phil: Mooooorning Danny! I hope you slept amazingly and have well... the best day at school as you possibly can with all the damn boring lessons. Unless you like learning then ignore me please :D <3

Dan: G'moring Philly! I slept really well actually; I hope you did as well and yeah you too. Nooope I don't like them dw, who does?? xD <3

Phil: Yayy I'm glad and yep same here surprisingly! We'll survive this dull day together Danny! Well... from different schools anyway :D Talk to you after school? <3

Dan: We will kick the boringness up the ass! xD And of course bye bye Philly :(  <3

Phil: Byeee Danny :'( <3

I place my phone in my blazer pocket and grab my bag while racing down the stairs, being careful not to trip this time. I really don't need to risk a broken leg. Ever.

I walk into the kitchen to find my Gran sitting at the breakfast bar listening to the radio and drinking her tea... I know right so British. No she wasn't eating crumpets or watching doctor who...probably.

Beside her I saw another mug, probably with my usual morning coffee which she specially makes for me with our new costa coffee maker machine thingy. I adore it. Best cuppa coffee you will ever have... trust me. And a pancake presumably for me on a plate as I'm the only on that eats them.

She looks up and acknowledges me standing in the door way "Good morning Dan." She says in her usual cheery tone.

"Morning Gran." I replied gleefully and place myself on the stall next to her, exchanging small conversations while I quickly finish my heavenly coffee and yummy pancake.

I then jump up and kiss my Gran on the cheek goodbye, before sprinting out the door and speeding to Chris' house.

I got there about five minutes later and jumped up the steps to the door, but before I could knock he had opened the door making me jump in surprise slightly.

Chris greeted me with a hug "Hey Dan!"

"Wooah when did you get so cuddly?"

"Since something awesome happened!" he said almost shouting, his face lighting up.

"Oh yeah! You have to tell me what has made you so freaking happy man, I thought you were only like this with Pj?" I chuckled.

"But that's the thing Dan!" He yelled excitedly.

I raised my eyebrows, then it sunk in "Waaait...what now?!"

"I told you, you'd like it!" he sang.

I stared at him, wide eyed and mouth hung open "What did you... wait did he-"...

 

 

Heeelllooo my oddballs, it is I...again...aaanyway!

First and formost I've just gotta let this out... OMFGTHANKYOUALLSOSOSOSOMUCHFOROVER1,000 BLOODYREADSLIKEOHMAHGLOB!!!!! I love you all! ^-^
