During the party, my phone kept vibrating, making it look like my pocket was nervous. I didn't dare answer any of the texts though, just in case it was anyone from 5SOS and Hannah looked over my shoulder.
Once I'd got home, I ran straight to my room and locked the door. I know what you're thinking. You're thinking 'she has a lock on her door? Paranoid much?' Well, when you have a family and two dogs that have no sense of privacy, a lock on your door is a great investment.
I had FIFTEEN TEXTS FROM 5SOS and more from friends and family.
Calum had sent me two: one saying how sorry and embarrassed he was about 'the guys' stealing his phone, the other saying how psyched he was about tomorrow, with WAY too many kisses added to the end of each.
Luke had sent me three, all of them saying how he was looking forward to tomorrow and in each one was a new idea about what we could do during this 'meet-and-greet'. I replied straight away, saying 'All those ideas are great! Need to make at least 1 happen'.
Michael had sent me one, saying it looked like he was going to be the responsible one and I should arrange details with him with one solitary kiss to finish.
It was only after creating contacts for the first three that I realized that I'd not seen any texts that were from Ashton. Turns out there were NINE texts from Ash. There were questions, answers to questions fans had wanted to know for years and loads of random meme pictures and one video that must have been a keek, showing Luke and Calum dancing. Turns out Ash was out to make a friend and he was going about in the right way.
I should have been crowned queen of the multi-takers that day. I was:
.Telling Calum it was okay and he had NOTHING to worry about
. Exchanging pleasantries with Luke
. Having a 'pick-off with Ash. In the space of one night, he became my boy-best friend who I talked to everything about.
.Texting everyone's mum with the plan, so that everyone knew what would be happening apart from the girls until the last possible minute.
. Texting Michael. This was a weird segmented process. We'd talk about what would be happening tomorrow for a bit, then he'd ask a question out of the blue that would catch me off guard, but I answered them because he told me from the beginning that if I did, he'd answer any question I had honestly. And finally-
. Keeping this all a secret from Hannah. She kept knocking on my door with different problems, math homework, a guy she doesn't like is coming on to her pretty hard, she's depressed 'coz something's happened at her best friend Ellie's house, something about her mum keeping secrets from her.
And each time I let her in, and someone texted me or sent me a video, I'd cover it up with, "Jess is having a bit of an emotional crisis" and make up a story that she would give me advice on what to say, or something like that and by the end of the day she had no clue whatsoever!
BRILLIANT! I'm a fucking boss!
I should be a spy, I'm that good at this. Before I went to bed one thing went through my head.
That was some amazing 'mission: impossible' shit right there.

The next day - 11 o'clock
I practically have to shove Hannah into the car. Well, we've never been morning people, but this was getting ridiculous.
