In the van with the man in the wife-beater

I didn't know what's louder, 5SOS pouring their guts out into a performance or the girls that screamed their lungs out all the way through the songs. I pitied the people that are right at the back because they probably could barely hear anything!

The stadium we were in was a converted football stadium, with seats all around the outside and a mosh pit right in front of the stage built into the pitch. The stage was outlined in black and behind Ash were tonnes of neon pictures and words that lit up when the spotlights shined on them, so they could have certain ones not showing if that's what they wanted. We were right at the front of the mosh pit, with the help of some security guards, so, if we wanted, we could have reached out and probably grabbed a reaching hand.

At 'Good Girls', we all looked at Ellie. It's one of her favourite songs and she was rocking out with the best of them. Her hair comes down to her waist, so she's an expert at windmilling. Because Ellie was so innocent, we all secretly thought this was her when we weren't looking. It wouldn't have surprised me if she'd had a boyfriend on the sly she hadn't told us about.

After they'd finished that song, Luke gestured for the audience to quieten down before giving the front row a devilish grin and breathed, "Hey." All the Luke fans screamed until they were hoarse, and tried to do something that would grab Luke's attention.

Have they seriously got nothing else to do?

That may sound horrible, but I've always looked down on people who think the best way to show their affection is to scream at someone. I mean, sing along at the top of your voice and dance like you're drunk, but why just scream? It's not like there's a scream dictionary, specifically written for music/film stars.

Back to Luke. "Whenever we do one of these things, we always like to introduce ourselves, just in case someone out there among you lot don't know who we are, so, 'Hi, my name's Luke and I'm the main singer, obviously'" He had a little chuckle to himself, which caused Hannah to melt, then looked over expectantly at Michael.

After a minute or two, Michael came out of his daydream with a start. "Oh, you want ME to go next? Okay, erm. Hey, everyone! My name's Michael Gordon Clifford, and I'm addicted to pizza." People looked at him onstage with shock, taking it seriously, but our lot on the front row pissed our pants because we got the joke. I noticed at the last moment possible that he'd been looking at us as if looking for approval. Once he'd got it, he beamed and apologised to the audience.

"Hello, all you LOVELY ladies out there! My name's Calum Hood, and I'm ready to make your acquaintance." He aimed a wink in my direction, but I didn't know this because a girl behind me pushed me down so he'd wink at her. Hannah told me after, a massive Cheshire cat grin on her face. Apparently, I looked like I was getting butt raped by a thirteen-year-old girl.

"And that just leaves me. Hi, my name's Ashton and I really appreciate you all coming to see us. It really means a lot." His grin could melt ice, so it had no trouble making girls and their mums weak at the knees. "Now that that's over, who's ready for the next song?" This got them an almighty scream.

What a surprise. It's a mystery how they're not deaf or something like that.

The concert went in a blur of music, screams and laughter. At one point Calum tripped over his amp cable, but covered it flawlessly and played on his back for the rest of the song. The guys were amazing! They put their heart and soul into every second and the energy they gave out was refreshing.

I'm not ashamed to say that by the halfway point, I was fangirling like a trooper, but definitely not as much as HEAL. Hannah was hyperventilating and Ellie had forgotten that we'd already met them and tried to climb over the barrier to stroke Ash's glabella, Annalea trying to stop her, because she had claimed Ash for her own.
