Chapter 11 – Opened Door

Lumipas ang mga araw, linggo, at buwan and the sight of Lady Kaye Liteda became normal. It's been a year mula ng bumalik siya dito sa Pilipinas at nasanay na akong nakikita siya araw araw.

I admit, it was a crazy year for me coz the sight of her inside my building every morning and evening makes me cringe. I hate the fact na para siyang school bus na hatid sundo si Janine.

Sa halos isang taon na nag kikita kami ay hindi pa kami nakakapag usap na dalawa. Hindi pa kami nakakapag usap ng kaming dalawa lang.

If there is a good thing that happened in the past months, that is when my boyfriend seems like at peace and secured on our relationship.

It's weekend but unfortunately, I woke up early than usual. At dahil hindi na din ako naka tulog, I just decided to go out at mag jogging na lang. I am hoping that few runs will free my mind from all the stress sa work and my personal life.

Pauwi na ako galing sa pag jojogging ng may napansin akong pamilyar ng coffee shop. Kaya naman agad kong ipinark ang sasakyan ko sa harap nito.

I just realized na it's been awhile since the last time na naka pasok ako sa Millennial Brew na pag mamay-ari ni Marianne at ng ex ko.

Agad akong bumaba ng sasakyan and immediately went inside.

It's my dream to own a coffee shop, pero sa dami ng trabaho ko sa kompanya hindi ko na ata kaya na mag dagdag pa ng sakit sa ulo.

I take my time to look at the menu to choose what to eat and drink. Once I decided what I want ay agad akong pumunta sa counter to order. Afterwards I immediately look where to seat.

I settle myself near the glass window. Pag kaupo ko ay agad kong agad kong iginala ang panilingin sa paligid. And I can say that there are similarities ang branch na ito sa unang branch nila. The only difference is yung mini stage nan aka tayo sa may bandang gilid at may piano.

Nang mag sawa akong pag masdan ang kabuohan ng coffee shop ay ibinaling ko na ang tingin ko sa labas ng bintana at pinagmasdan ang mga dumadaan while enjoying the music that is playing.

The song that is playing is Perfect by Ed Sheeran. And I feel so bad, dahil patapos na yung kanta. Gusto ko pa naman yung kanta. But still, sinabayan ko si Ed Sheeran sa pag kanta para malibang ako habang nag hihintay sa coffee ko na hindi ko malaman kung bakit parang natatagalan.

"Good morning." Rinig kong sabi ng isang pamilyar na boses habang nag pla-play yung huling stanza ng kanta. "Here's your coffee."

I slowly look up and I found a very familiar face smiling sweetly on me.

I always see her but looking at her right now, pero parang may iba sa kanya. The way she smiles is different than before. She's glowing and happy, and the thought makes me throw up.

I have faith in what I see

Now I know I have met an angel in person

"And I brought this too." I heard her pero naka titig lang ako sa kanya. Not minding the plate na ibinaba niya sa mesa ko.

And she looks perfect

I don't deserve this

"Enjoy." She said warmly, "And have a wonderful day ahead, Patricia." Naka ngiti pa din ito pero hindi tulad niya, hindi ko magawang ngumiti. I feel something different right now, no, it's different. It is a familiar feeling that I don't want to acknowledge.
