Chapter 27 – Turmoil 

"She's smiling like an idiot." I heard Des commented while shaking her head.

Pero sino bang hindi mapapangiti when the thought of the one you love flashes in.

Isa pa, bigla ko nanamang na alala yung preni-prepare ni Kaye kagabi.

We just watched a movie last night, but the thing is she set it up sa garden and cook the food for both of us.

It was simple, yet it feels perfect dahil ramdam ko ang effort na ginagawa niya for us.

In the past days, Kaye and I did nothing but to find ways to rekindle our relationship. And every time I spent time with her, it makes me realized that we both change a lot. What happened in the past made us two different people. To far different from who we were before. And because of that, I somehow understood why she wanted things to go slowly. Labeling our relationship is too easy, but the connection, understanding and trust can't be built overnight. And it takes time and effort from both of us.

At kung para sa ikakabuti na relasyon namin, I won't mind if we take things slowly. As long as we are committed to each other and this relationship, I really don't mind not having a label yet. But I still look forward to that because label to what we are is still needed because it will cement that we are and what we will be in the future.

"No." I said immediately to deny her accusation. "I'm not smiling." I added habang pilit na tinatago ang ngiti sa labi ko.

"So, what's that curved on your lips, huh?" mapang asasr naman na sabi ni Kat.

"Give Patricia a break, guys." Jade butt in kayan napatingin ako sa kanya "Hayaan niyo namang kiligin yan."

"Jade is right mga gurlash." I heard Jai said that made me smile. Knowing that Jai, my best friend, is supportive with my relationship with her sister makes me happy. "After all, we never see her this happy for a long time." Then I see genuine smile formed on my best friend's lips.

"Well, I won't disagree with you, gurlash." This time, it's Kat. "And look at her, blooming si ate!" Dagdag nito.

"Baka kaya blooming kasi...."

"Don't you even dare to say nasty things Des!" I warned my friend dahil sa tono nito alam ko na kung saan papunta ang sasabihin niya.

I don't want to be sound defensive, but I know my friends. Isa pa, I am so done hearing those things from Roxanne these past few days. And it makes me feel so uncomfortable.

"Well, on my defense. I actually about say that you are blooming because you are in love." sabi nito habang tumatawa.

But I bet my fortune, Des wasn't thinking about that.

"Whatever!" I said while rolling my eyes.

"Pa-inosente!" Asar ni Des

"Nothing happens, okay!" I said

I heard someone chuckle, but I am not sure who is it because I am too focus on looking at Des on the small screen of my laptop making face.

"Kelan kayo magiging officially back together gurlash?" Rinig kong tanong ni Kat

"We're talking our time." I answered.

"You are still okay kahit wala pa kayong label?" she asked again

I see how my other friends were silent as if waiting for my answer.

"Honestly," I pause "I wanted us to be us." I said with honestly. There is no reason naman for me to keep it from them. "Sino bang may gusto ng walang label." I see them nod "But I respect what she wants." I said "Isa pa, I think we needed this too. Maraming kaming pinagdaanan and it changed us. And so, I understand why she wanted us to take slowly coz we need time na kilalanin ulit ang isa't isa before we formally be together again."
