 Polaroids of sunsets

flaming horizons boxed in moments

Warming dances of the breeze

smells like sunscreen and chlorine

Lemonade and sleeping in

technicolor on the sky's rim

Pink skies pass and laughs ignite

Time floats away but no one minds

polaroids of sunsets

and life's sugar sweet new moments

snow cones dribble down our palms

our childish screams echo until dawn

periwinkle eyes

gaze onto the possibility of night

take pictures of the painted skies

their twinkling lights fuel us into the fight

life is long but it's not forever

when we wake tomorrow it could change like weather

our youthful glow will fade out from our eyes

so let's make our mistakes while we're still out burning bright

cotton candy clouds blend with the fire of the sky

teenage mischief entertains the night

fields invite us in like we're dew before dawn

roses and sunflowers are the beds we rest our heavy minds on

polaroids of sunsets

don't forget how much you lived

moments only can last so long

they evaporate when you try to hold on

see the multicolored sky's hues

remember that the light isn't always blue

your best days are safe so you won't forget
