enjoy your life
that's all you have to do
take all the time
the world happens to give to you
sleep tonight
and work hard when you wake
because you don't want to miss any chances
and later on realize your mistake
write lovely lyrics
and sweet notes to your crush
give smiles like honeysuckles
and remember how you are young
smile at the sunrise
and cry at the dusk
as tomorrow is approaching
this day has wrapped up
don't waste any love
don't dismiss any luck
and above everything else
don't allow yourself to give up
dream far out like the clouds
and wish upon stars
remind yourself of when
you were desperate to be where you are now
breathe in through clenched jawbones
and breathe out through tense cheeks
there's no such thing as a permanent feeling
scream, cry, and yell if you need
enjoy your life
that's all that I ask
but don't do it for me
you owe yourself a life that lasts
rub your face against pillows
embellish your space
fill shelves with small memories
and soothe the muscles in your face
laugh with your friends
daydream of your crush
but don't leave out any family
that love is a must
sneak out once in a while
enjoy teenage angst
it could evaporate in a blink
so run around while you can
enjoy all your life
even the harsh December cold
you'll never be alone
when the world is yours to mold
take care of yourself
don't forget how to learn
admire your own smile
and don't hate when you hurt
get up on your feet
dust off your old shirt
you're never the wrong age
to make new art from your hurt
so smile at sunsets
kiss puppies on their heads
life has too much love
to waste your whole life in bed
