Mr. Keating was quite while she cried, he knew there was something that had been forcefully stolen from her. The story she told only made that more visible.
Mr. Keating had seen this girl, or prior boy, as a child of his. He felt like there was this innocence and childlike wonder that needed to be preserved. Whenever he was having a bad day he would look upon her and see this little ball of happiness and almost instantly feel better.
He drew his eyes from the road to look at the source of the only noise in the car.
She was curled into a ball, almost folded in on herself, as heart wretching sobs forced themselves out of her. It physically pained him to see the once bright sun this way.
He focused solely on the road and asked himself if what he was keeping from her was worth it. His brain seemed to pull itself into many different directions as he weighed his options.

The internal war Mr. Keating was having settled within as the sobs died down and the wheels started to slow. The headlights, still cut by rain, reviled there arrival at the school. The girl thanked him quitely as she climbed out of the car and made her way into the school.
Mr. Keating sighed as he pulled out of the school once again. He had one final destination before he could clime into his bed and feel guilty, elsewhere.

Todd hadn't thought alot about a world without Neil. He had simply never fathomed it after they became friends. Yet somehow whenever the though wiggled into his head on nights Neil had gone to bed mad at him he never believed it would turn out like this. He wouldn't have believed that he would have relied on Neil so much that functioning without him seemed impossible.
Yet here he was lying in bed looking over at Neil's old bed. Clinging to a shirt he had stolen from him, he tried to imagine what he would do tomorrow yet all he saw was Neil. Nothing he could do would erase the boy from his head so he could just sleep.
Earlier in the night he was tempted to run to the cave and stay there in hopes of dying so he could be with Neil, but he couldn't move himself to go there.
So he wiped his eyes every time the tears blurred his vision too much and indulged himself in the pain of his heart breaking.

I'm going to explain actually. I haven't been very motivated to write but I've recently gotten into BTS and the fanfiction and stories have inspired me to get back into writing! So yeah!
We're going to try and update more! Narrator out!
A tiny psa the song is dealing with death but the book is so... Also that will kinda be a sort of theme song for the book!
