DALTON'S POV
"Is that your girlfriend?" Cole asked me, eyeing Ree in the back. I casually glanced over at her.
"No." I said.
"You like her, dont you?"
"How could you come across that so quick? She's my best friend." I put my hands up in defense. Cole didnt seem so sure.
"Whatever. It's the way you smile at her." Cole said shrugging just as Ree bounced over to us.
"hey guys." She said wrapping her arms around me. Cole wiggled his eyebrows and I threw a music packet towards him...but he caught it.
"You two need to date." Cole said wagging the packet. I felt Ree squirm before letting go of me.
"Actually I th-"
"Talk amongst yourselves." Cole interrupted, walking away. The two of us sorta stared at each other.
"So this is awkward.." I murmured.
"Yea."
"What were you going to tell Cole before he rudely cut you off?" I asked her
"Oh nothing.. That you like someone else." Ree said slowly.
"Like you?"
