1 MONTH BEFORE ALEXIS' FIRST LETTER:
I opened the door to my apartment and locked it behind me. I took off my beanie, set it on the table and walked towards my room to change. I wiped off my makeup and threw my hair up in a bun. I called for Crystal, but she didn't answer. I called again and again. I started panicking. I ran to her room screaming her name at the top of my lungs. And then I realized. I sank down to the floor crying. She was gone. And this time, it was for good.
