AFTER:
The police came. I told them what happenned. They told me she ran away. I know that's not true.

On monday, she seemed fine. Happy even. On tuesday she was deppressed and she wouldn't sleep. On wednesday, she locked herself in her room and stayed there until thursday. On thursday, she left. And she never came back.

************** ***************

Today was a hard day. I went to the therapist and was asked to go to the police station to fill out some paperwork. It's been two weeks now, and she still isn't here.

I opened the door to my apartment and locked it behind me. I set the groceries on the counter, and went to the bathroom to wash my face. After that, I changed into PJs and made myself some tea. I turned on the TV looking for a distraction, but nothing felt even remotely appealing so I muted it. I grabbed my recipe book and started to make a cake. This usually helps me clear my mind for a bit.

As I stirred the batter I began to relax. Well, that is until the phone rang.

- Crap! -. I said, as I wiped my hands on my apron.

I ran over to the coffee table and answered the phone.

- Hello? -. I said.

- Yes this is Linus at the front desk, miss. A man has just delivered something for you shall I send it up? - said Linus.

- Yes please -. I said.

I decided to continue baking once the package arrived so in the meanwhile, I sat on the floor with a book. Afew minutes later, the doorbell rang. I opened the door, and saw that the delivery guy, had already left. I looked down and saw the box on the floor. It was wrapped in brown paper and a piece of string, seemed to be the only thing holding it together.

I picked it up, and set it on the coffee table telling myself I'd look at it after dinner.

Three hours later, the cake had already come out of the oven, and chinese takeout was on it's way. I decided to open the package since it could be a while until the food got here. I sat down on the couch and teared open the package. I was a little dissapointed to see that there was only a letter inside, but also curious to see what it was.

I opened the folded piece of paper and screamed.
