I rubbed my eyes in confusion. Daylight seeped through my window. I looked at my watch. It was already 10 a.m. I wrapped my soft pink robe around me and dragged myself towards the kitchen. I made some cereal, and ate it quickly on the kitchen counter. I threw on some black leggings and a loose white shirt and sat down on my bed. I saw a slip of paper peeking out from under the covers, and remembered what had happened last night. I decided not to think about it until after the date, and buried it in a box filled with stuff I didn't use anymore.

I grabbed a light blue sweater, my phone and my headphones, and headed out to run.

A few hours later, I started getting ready for my date. I put on the clothes I had prepared the other day, and did my make-up. At 6:50, I decided to head down to the lobby. I waited, and waited and waited. It was 7:30 already and he wasn't here. I started to worry. Had he stood me up? Did he forget? I decided to find out. I grabbed my phone from my purse, and called him.

Straight to voice mail.

"Hello I'm either busy or avoiding your call. You know what to do"

I decided not to leave a message and headed up to my apartment. I ordered Chinese, and watched some movies. I heard a noise.  I got up, crept towards the front door and screamed.

Crystal's decaying body lay on the floor in front of me.

Sorry I took so long to update. Please forgive me. Don't forget to comment what you think, it really means the world to me that you do so. Thank you guys so much for reading.
