Chapter 7: meeting Aleah

She-cats .p.o.v.

Stripes led me down the hay mountain, while telling me about his life. He kept on saying something about a girl named Aleah. I don't know if they were mates, or just really close friends. When we got down the mountain of hay Stripes led me toward a small crack, just big enough for a full grown cat to fit into. "Well, this is it." Said Stripes as he started walking thru the hole in the wall. I followed in after him. When i got thru, i started looking around, there was light coming in thru a decent sized dirty window with plastic shielding it from getting scratched or dirty, it did a terrible job. On the left side of the room, there was a low wooden gymnastic beam, with a bunch of horse saddles lined up on it. On the far right side of the room there was a folded up quilt blanket, which I'm guessing is a bed. Not far from it, there were two silver bowls. One with food and one with water. "Well, this is it... this is my home, how do you like it?" Stripes asked. " its.. amazing!" I said, still in wonder of it all. Suddenly my stomach made a loud rumbling noise. " are you hungry?" Stripes asked. "No, no.. not at all." I lied. Then suddenly I remembered how I haven't ate in three days. "Ok.. maybe a little hungry." "Here, ill go get you some food." Stripes picked up the empty silver bowl in his mouth and brought it to the entrance of his home. "Ill be back soon..." stripes said, a little muffled by the bowl. "Unless you want to come with me?" He asked nicely. 'Well.. he asked nicely.. and i am hungry... so maybe i could..' i thought "ok.. i guess i could." I said. " Great now you can meet Aleah!!!" Stripes said excitedly. 'Wait.. what! I didn't agree to meet Aleah!! I only wanted food!!! This was NOT part of the plan!!! I thaught.. I was going to say it out loud, but... he was already walking out of the room.. and he looked so happy too... 'ohh fine, ill meet this Aleah he's been talking about soo much.'

We walked up to a big human made building it was made from bricks and wood and glass. I smelled the air it smelled of Stripes and humans. I shivered and did a hiss, i hated humans. My last encounter with humans was terrible, so I didn't trust them. "Stripes.. i dont know if you noticed.. but.. your walking up to a humans den!!! " I hissed. " I know." He said like he wasn't even afraid of them. "Are you crazy?!?! Humans CANT under all circumstances be TRUSTED!!!" I yelled. He just looked at me like I was the crazy one. Then He put down his bowl and said with a straight face. " look, do you know Aleah I've been talking to you so much about? Well she's A HUMAN... IVE been RAISED by A HUMAN." He said.

He then picked up his bowl and kept walking. I just stood there letting all of the words he said sink in. I finally got it. "What?!?!... you were raised by a human?!? Aleah is a human!?!?!" My mined exploded. "What?!.. Why?!!How??!!" I said baffled. " how could ANY good come from being raised by A HUMAN!!!" I yelled. He turned around, put down his bowl, and sat down to face me. " ok, let me tell you a story.." he said like he was talking to a little kitten." I sat down too faceing him, " ok. " I said, my anger immediately died down, I loved story's even though they were made for kittens. " once upon a time..." he began. " there was a little dark orange and light orange striped tabby kitten, he was cute and lovable... but... he was a runt..." he said. " oh! Oh! Your talking about yourself aren't you.. and wait.. your a runt?! I said, he certainly did not look like a runt, and he was about the same size as me. " yes, so then his mother looked over her newborn kittens and saw the runt, and decided she didn't want him anymore, and she sent a strange male cat to take him away.." " really? She did that to you? Wow that's harsh!" I said, I didn't know mothers could be that harsh. " yes, now can we please continue with the story?" He asked. " right, right, sorry.. please continue!" I said urging him to continue. " ok. Were were we.. Oh yes the strange male cat took him away, then he put the kitten down and left him there to die alone.. and when he left. And that's when the kitten first opened his eyes and the kitten cried out for the strange cat to take him back to his home, to his mother, but he didn't listen and walked away. And little did he know, that a little human girl was playing in the snow, and she heard his cries.. then she ran over to him and picked him up in her giant hands..then-" Oh, Oh.. that human was Aleah wasn't she?" I said. Stripes kind of had an annoyed look on his face. " oh.. write sorry.. no talking.. hehe..." I said a little embarrassed. " please, can I please not have any comments until, the end of my story?!" Asked stripes, trying to keep his temper down. " sorry..."  " ok.. no more comments..." he said glaring at me. " she took me in by her giant hands and raised me.. then she fed me and took care of me, and loved me like a mother, and when I was too big to hide in her room when her family checked on her, she made me my own place to call home....that's what I love humans." Said stripes now finished the story.

" now you can ask questions ."  " wow!" Was all I could say, I was really stunned that a HUMAN could love. could actually love a creature other than money or there little trinkets, and jewels. " so no questions?" He asked. " no" I Replied. " ok, now, I have a question for you." He said. " ok, ask away!" I said. " well," he started. " what's your backstory?" He asked calmly. ' Wait.. no.. no, no no no.. he can't learn my backstory, not now, no, this can't be happening, he can't learn my backstory!' My body got tense, and I dug my claws into the dirt, I looked at him with fear stricken eyes as I started remembering my back story, I hissed in horror as memories flooded into my mind of my past, my head spun, I started to get really dizzy all of a sudden. Stripes saw my reaction and tried to change the subject. " never- mind.. forget I said that" said Stripes, I'm guessing he saw my nervous breakdown. " let's get going" he said. " I'm sure you will love Aleah.. she's not evil." Said stripes as he started to get up. " I'm sure she's back from school by now."
He grabbed his silver bowl and started walking up the grassy hill. I followed after him, only because there will be food.

We got on to the porch of the humans den, I was trembling in fear. This is really scary, I looked at my back at my side and saw my scar, that reminder how evil humans really are, it was a really big gash on the right side of my rib cage. I shuddered at the memory of how I got that scar.

Stripes scratched at the white door, waited a few minutes, and shortly after the door opened. Standing at the door was a little girl with golden blond hair and sky blue eyes she was wearing a navey blue shirt and pants and a small pink backpack. " Stripes!!! Your here!! Are you hungry bud? Here I'll get you some food!!" Stripes put down his silver bowl at her feet. She bent down, took the bowl and went inside for about three minutes then came back shortly after with the bowl full of some cold scrambled eggs. My mouth watered, and my stomach growled loudly as she set the bowl down. The girl sat down at the door and then I timidly walked over to the bowl of food, when I was close enough, I dug my face into the bowl of food. I ate every last bit of egg in the bowl. When i was finished, I stood up and walked back a few steps, the girl didn't see me until I ate the food, it seemed, because after I finished the bowl of food she said, " Stripes, you have a girlfriend! And she's hungry too!" My eyes went wide 'girlfriend? No way! " I'm not his girlfriend!" I yelled, Stripes just started laughing to himself. " what are you laughing about stripes!" I yelled again. " nothing, nothing, haha it's just ha he, she thinks we're mates!" Stripes snickered " that's not funny!" I glared at him. Aleah then spoke again " oh Stripes, you should of told me.. oh I know! I can make a wedding for you two!" Stripes only laughed harder. I glared at him even more. " ok Stripes, I better go and get that ready. Then I will come tell you ok? But first, does your girlfriend have a name?" Stripes stopped laughing then shook his head a no. " ok, I'll name you...mittens." She said as she looked at my white front paws. Mittens? I was about to object but she was already gone....
