chapter 5: The Barn

Stripes P.O.V.

for that month I grew, and soon enough i was allowed outside! It was a very exciting day, I wandered outside, but never to far away from Aleah's side it was a bright sunny day, the white puffy snow just starting to melt, i stared in amazement as i saw a bird fly accross the sky.

how do they do that? i thaught to myself how do they fly?  I looked around, and I saw a small purple flower  with a yellow middle, just starting to prick up thru the snow. I also saw the small green buds on the big pear tree, I pranced around, basking in the sunlight, I looked at my front paws, this was the first time I noticed my fur colour's, dark orange with light orange striped. No wonder Aleah named me Stripes. I thought. I looked at my back and saw my tail and started tapping it like a toy and started to chase it, around and around I went. When I finally stopped I fell in a giant orange heap, feeling really dizzy. Then after I felt better I looked around some more. I looked around in the run down block shed, there were a lot of big grey blocks on the ground of it. Then I got picked up in Aleah's arms and got carried to a huge ( and I mean HUGE) grey wooden building with a red roof and a giant sunflower painted on it, it was a bit faded and so was the roof. On the opposite side of the big sunflower there was a small tile roof with a rickety old, green faded, half broken old wagon. When we finally got to the HUGE building Aleah opened a very small wooden door that was just big enough for me and Aleah to fit in full height. We went through the small door in the HUGE building and she flicked on a light, and the entire thing was in a dim light. " this is the barn, Stripes." Aleah said as she put me down to explore. In the place there was two big hay mounds with many hay bails piled up to the ceiling on either side of the left side of the building. I walked up to a hay mound and tried climbing up it. But I couldn't do it, I was still really tiny, only a month old, so I mewed over Aleah and she came running over " you want to climb?"
" yup" I mewed back. Then she lifted me up a few hay bails, set me down, then she started to climb up herself.

I started to hop up a lot more bails and made it to the top. I looked down at my friend and she came up soon after I looked down. " you... are fast... " Aleah panted.

We stayed there for a while, then Aleah picked me up, and we started the journey back to the house.

Sorry for not updating in a while, the terrible writers block has got into my life, that's why I made an extra long chapter. Anyway, I'm making yet another book. It's going to be called Wolves Of The Gems, it's about wolves. I will do a little part of the book in the next part of this book.
