Stripes p.o.v.
I flicked my ears and tail towards outside, lets go outside, I need to speak. Mother nodded and slowly started creeping outside, I turned around and followed her, we ran and hid behind a large rock. "Did you hear that Stripes?! There going to be ready for us! We'll die! Is one cat really worth all of that trouble? Plus, we don't know if it's one hundred percent sure if her or not." My mother said.

i growled at her, "i'm sure it's her mom, i can feel it!" i said, "and of course she's worth it! she's my mate! she's worth everything in the entire world to me, and i will everything in my power to get her back." i said, then my eyes widened, 'did i just say mate?' i thought.  Mother sighed. "i guess your right..." she said and smiled sadly.

i looked at the sky, the sun was starting to set.  "it's getting late. we should go rescue her before it's too late. let's go mom." i said, then crept behind a log, a few steps away from the rock.  Mother started to follow be but stopped. "we don't even know where there keeping her." she said.  i sat up. i didn't even think of where they would keep her! i growled to myself. how could i be so stupid! i smacked my forehead with my tail, i needed to think.

'if i where a coyote, where would i keep a cat prisoner..?' i thought for a while. 'well...it would probably guarded with some strong, trustworthy coyote's that are well fed so that they wouldn't eat the prisoner...and it would be in a place where the prisoner  cant escape or dig out of...' i thought. then an answer  sparked in my brain. 'a cave! that's the perfect place to keep a prisoner.  it would  be small, and enclosed.  you can't dig out of a cave, and it would only have one entrance/exit that would be easy to guard. yes, that would be a perfect place to keep a prisoner..' i thought, then i turned to mother.

"i think there keeping her in a cave." i said. mom turned to me, "and why do you think that?" she asked. "well..cave's are enclosed spaces with hard floors that you cant dig out of, and it would be a small cave, and cave's sometime's have one exit or entrance that would be easy to guard if someone wanted to break the prisoner out. " i said. mother looked at me, a surprised expression on her face. "ok..if she is in a cave then where is it?" she asked .

"um...i think where going to have to look around.." i said, starting to get up. mother sighed and got up as well. "ok.." she said, sighing and followed behind me.

we crept behind dens, and logs, and rocks, hiding whenever we saw a coyote poke there head out of a den or when we saw them walk around. so far none of them had noticed us. which is good. but the only problem was, we couldn't find the cave where Mittens was. right when we where getting ready to give up, i saw that coyote..Djinni i think was his name, walking out into the forest. i signaled mother, "mom, look! there's that coyote again, that we saw in that den." i said, pointing to him with my tail. He was walking farther into the forest.  mother looked in his direction, her eyes went wide in recognition, "yes, there he is. i wonder where he's going.." she said, "let's find out! he might be going to where Mittens is being kept." i said, excitedly. mother didn't look so sure. "i don't know.. what if it's not her.." she said, doubtful. "we talked about this already, i can feel it!" i hissed.  "now let's go."

"alright.." mother said, starting to follow after him. i followed too. we kept on following him, hiding behind rocks or logs, or tree's if he looked behind himself. i think he had a feeling he was being watched. which is true, he was...

we followed him for a while through the forest, and watched him catch a rabbit nibbling on some flowers. then finally after one more look around himself which we hid from behind a tree, he trotted to a cave with two coyote guards blocking the entrance.'why would they need two guards just to guard a cat?' i wondered, then leaned over to whisper in moms ear.  "see, i was right, it's a cave!" i whispered to mother. she nodded but still kept her eyes trained on Djinni and the cave and the guards.

"what do you want Djinni?" a guard asked him, i turned back around to watch,"i'm here to see the prisoner." Djinni said. "for what purpose?"     "to feed her of course! we need her for bait and our bate needs to be alive. leader's orders, so let me through." Djinni said, the guards stepped aside. now i could get a better veiw of the cat inside..it's Mittens!
