"I can't believe you're the reason behind this. We should have known," My mother said, pacing back and forth.

"I've already gotten onto him for this. He's here on our side this time. We both promise." I tapped my foot on the ground impatiently.

My mom and dad shared a look, before excusing themselves to go into the kitchen to talk so Teddy and I couldn't hear. I shifted Stella on my lap, watching her as she played with the toy in her hands.

"What do you think they're talking about?" Teddy asked after a few short moments of silence, and I just glanced at him before back at Stella.

"You."

"Well, obviously." He jokingly rolled his eyes, and I just smiled. "So how have things been with Natalie? You never talk to her anymore it seems and I never see her around."

"How would you know if she's been around here or not? Stalking?" I joked, looking back over at Teddy.

"If you forgot I was living next door with those girls for a while. I just haven't seen her since everything went down a few years ago." He shrugged, messing with a small rip in his jeans.

"We've talked recently, she called the day I saw you in the store and apologized. My parents and I are going to dinner with her family tomorrow night and I'm more than nervous. Michael will be going and knowing Nash-"

"He's going to say dumb shit to make you upset. Right. Well, if he bothers you or your boyfriend let me know and I'll rough him up for you." Teddy winked, and I just shook my head as my parents entered the room again.

"Alright so we talked this through and Kelly and I think-"

"More like you, but continue." My mom cut my dad off, who just sent her a look before continuing with what he was saying.

"We think that you mean good by coming here. You came, and owned up to everything you did and apologized, and on top of that we think we'll be able to pull some strings and you can stay here until you get on your own feet." My dad spoke to Teddy, and I put Stella on the ground and stood up to stretch.

"Wait are you serious?" Teddy asked, disbelief written all over his face.

"Yes. But one mistake mister and you're out of here!" My mom pointed a finger at Teddy. "You will be looking for a job, actively. And until you get one you'll help clean up the house and take care of Stella, keep your part of living here for free. And stay on our team. If you so much as say hi to those girls without helping us get them kicked out of the house we won't hesitate to kick you out." Giving my mom a look, she sighed and rolled her eyes. "Fine, I wouldn't hesitate to kick you out. And to prove your loyalty to us you're going to help us by telling us everything that you know, right now."

"Yeah, yes, of course!" Teddy said happily, nodding.

"Alright. Shall we get some coffee and call Jimmy and Paula over, begin our first plan?" My mom asked, looking between my dad, Teddy and I.
