"Dude, you will not believe what happened," Teddy spoke as he sat down across from me.

It's been a minute since we hung out last, that time I lied to get out of the sorority. They seem to be reluctant on telling me things, and I'm too afraid to ask. There's literally no point in me being in this sorority, and I'm beginning to get irritated because my parents won't let me stop and come back home.

Most of the time it's me finding a way to get away from them, their secrets and their anger toward my parents while they avoid telling me things. It's a waste of time and space, and I don't see why my parents are so pushy at me living here when nothing's helping their case.

"What?" I asked, taking a sip of my caramel frappe. I try to switch my drinks up as often as I can, but today I wasn't in the mood to try something new so I just got my usual.

"So your dad was teaching me to cook, right? Which, by the way, I'm getting better at! You should let me cook pasta for you sometime. Also, why does boiling water make eggs hard and pasta soft?" He asked, getting off topic.

"Teddy, get on topic please," I smiled at him, and he blushed and nodded.

"Right, yeah. Okay so we get home from the store to cook and turns out your mom had texted him saying even though they recently fought she decided to not do it anymore." He explained.

"Do what anymore?" I asked.

"Like, be with him. With everyone," Teddy spoke, and my jaw dropped.

"Are you serious?"

"Just wait. So she had said she went back home to Australia, and Mac went all the way to Australia and I guess your mom really was home but neither him or I knew that because I was out finding jobs and hanging out with you, and she hadn't texted him any of that." He ran a hand through his hair. It looked soft.

Stop that, Kiya.

"Did they even try to call each other?" I asked, ignoring the thoughts running through my mind.

"Well, yeah but they 'ignored each others calls'." He put quotations around it. "So basically he's on his way back now, and she's meeting up with him."

"This is such a mess," I groaned, resting my head on my hand. Teddy stayed silent, and we sat there for a few moments. How was I missing all of this? It's not like I wasn't around, I was just minding my own business and they were keeping as much as they could from me it seemed like.

Michael and I still haven't hung out, besides him walking to my classes like normal. He's distant, but at the same time he's not. He's acting weird, different, and I don't think that it's a good type of different.

"How are things with lover boy?" Teddy asked, as if he read my mind about me thinking about Michael.

"Mikey? Oh, they're, they're good." I nodded, taking another sip of my drink. Of course it was a lie, I was just trying to not make a big deal out of something that's probably not even that serious. I'm probably being paranoid after everything that happened with Nash and Teddy.
