Chapter Fourteen

Alice woke up with a start as she hit her head on something hard and metal, the vampire groaned in pain as she looked up, "son of a bitch... what hit me..." upon seeing the cage she was trapped in she tensed up, she knew what this was, it was the cage she spent many times in for not listening to Adrien, well Alexander, "I can't believe that snake... he stuck me in here while I was unconscious, that bastard..." Alice then flipped her head around, "Sabin? Sabin...?! Where are you?!" the female asked her dual colored eyes full of fear for the worse.

It was at that moment where she saw a figure nearby the cage and she quickly crawled over to get a better look at the figure, she was shocked when she saw who it was, "Sabin..? Oh my gods! Sabin what happened to you...?!" As Alice was being frantic about Sabin he stirred awake rubbing his forehead where he landed on his face, "Well we were put into an enchanted sleep and now I'm here in what seems like chains of some sort..." the male said as she watched him struggle through the chains trying to break them but it was proved fruitless, "Sabin I think you should stop before you hurt yourself..."

"Alright fine I'll stop..." Alice then saw Sabin widen his eyes as he attempted to get a closer look at the cage she was in, "wait Alice is that... the cage of compulsion?"

"Is that what it's called I just know that I was put in this cage when I was with Adri- Alexander, whenever I didn't listen he stuck me in here, and every time I'm in it I lose my independence, because I am forced to comply even when I don't want to..." Alice explained to Sabin's question he asked her before she looked down and saw she was also in chains and they were connected to Sabin's chains, "hey Sabin, don't move I'm going to try something..." the vampire then started to pull on the chains looking up at the ceiling where there was a pulley mechanism. As she pulled she looked over to Sabin and saw his arms being pulled up as she pulled, however, she instantly stopped when she saw where his mechanism went to, a saw blade, "oh shit! I'm so sorry Sabin...! I almost didn't realize where yours went to..."

"Alice, it's okay, there's no need to apologize... I would have done the same if I was in your shoes... But this just gives us a big problem... This means that Alexander wants you to kill me or I kill you type thing he's going to make us choose... I need to to remain calm and focus... Don't let your emotions take you over... There's a reason I fell in love with you Alice... Now show me that girl and we will get through this" Sabin told her as he pulled the chains back to where they were supposed to be evening them out. As Sabin did that Alice heard footfalls and the door opening, she soon saw who the noises belonged to and she instantly growled out of anger, "Alexander... What is the meaning of this?!"

"Oh Alice I'm so glad you're awake... now come on over here and let me talk to you..." Alice started to slowly go over to Alexander due to the influence of her cage, "what is it you need to talk about...?" the vampire asked calmly, to which Alexander just softly chuckled putting his hand through the bars caressing her cheek to which she instinctively pulled away, "you don't have to right to touch me anymore..."

"Now, now... That's no way for a lady to react now is it..? Behave yourself Alice.... Now listen to me carefully... I need you to kill Sabin over there... Show him the monster that you are... Once you've killed him... I'll set you free... Just start pulling on those chains around your wrists and the mechanism will do the rest..." Alice visibly started to show fear at the very idea of killing the man that she loved, "I refuse to... My willpower is stronger than your words..." Alice started to strain against the Cage's hold on her actions, "I refuse to kill Sabin....!" She said as tears started to form on her cheeks looking at Sabin in hopes he will say something to help her, and luckily he did, "Alice don't listen to Alexander he will have no control over you... don't listen to him only listen to me..."
