Chapter Six

Alice couldn't believe what she was hearing, I guess it all made sense now to her, but it didn't help the fact that she was still a little ticked off at the male. She let out a sigh and looked Sabin in his brown eyes, "so, if what you're saying is true then... Why did Galen say that it was you guys?"

"Because Galen is on the hunt for strong individuals and he's willing to do or say anything that will get him what he wants. And what he wants is getting all of the artifacts and destroying us. He thought by having a vampire on his team he would be able to achieve his goal a lot faster." Alice scoffed at this and rolled her eyes, "yeah, yeah, yeah... Whatever you say. But now that I saw the error of my ways I guess you have a new partner... But if you lay one finger on Annilise the way Galen did... I will be the first to slit your throat wide fucking open and hang you upside down to bleed out..." Alice wasn't letting her guard down just yet she was smarter than that, she was the lieutenant after all... well ex-lieutenant. The vampire female then looked up and held out her hand in a good gesture, "so what say you? Truce for now? Let's destroy Galen together, it might be good for our health" she said with a slight smile. She was happy when Sabin grabbed her hand back in return, "truce... for now... if one of us breaks this truce the other has full reign to kill the other... agreed?"

"Agreed..."

The rest of the day was held up in silence Alice was looking around the woods for any signs of movement that could signal they were being followed, she would even sniff the air for the smell of blood and listen to the sounds all around her to pinpoint who was where and what they were doing. Doing all of this at once though comes with a price, she's vulnerable to any and every attack because of her hyper focus, having Sabin be her backup in case she was in danger helped a lot, "Sabin, tree branch." after she said that Sabin stopped the tree branch from hitting her and she continued with her search, "how far is your castle from civilization? Will Annilise be safe there?"

"Yes she will be. There are plenty of able bodies that help protect that castle both inside and out."

"Good it will do nicely for Annilise and I... However there is one thing that we would need to do eventually... And that is kill Galen when we have the perfect opportunity..."

"I agree with you on that but because Galen is like us he will be hard to kill... He use to be a protector of Zeus like my friends and I... He then came up with this really great idea about killing Pandora, stealing and opening the dimOuniak... And like us he got possessed by a demon from that box... Hope..."
"I knew he wasn't an angel!" Alice exclaimed in almost sheer enjoyment, "now I'm really going to make him pay... For lying to me and hurting Annilise..."

The three of them traveled until they were out of the woods and into the city. Sabin was a little annoyed that he had to accompany these two girls at first, but being in their company really wasn't all that bad. He actually realized he and Alice had a lot more in common than he thought. The two of them were both the best fighters out there, they both really liked a good challenge. In retrospect, the two of them would make a deadly duo on the battlefield and that's what he enjoyed the most about her. The girl that she was carting around with though is a different story, she's really shy, timid and doesn't really have a sense of fighting spirit in her. He couldn't imagine having her fighting on the battlefield but more so keeping watch with Torin, or even cleaning up the castle. He didn't want to do that to the child though, he could tell that wouldn't be a good idea considering what happened between the girl and Galen. Sabin looked at the two girls as he lead them to the Budapest castle fortress and he sighed opening the door, "Alright boys I have a surprise!" the demon possessed male called out into the nothingness of the castle, "I found the two girls finally and they're perfectly unharmed like I said they would be!"

At this the front hallway was filled with all The Warriors excluding Torin who was the keeper of disease and Baden who was killed a few thousand years ago by The Hunters. Alice looked at all of the males and she stared deep into their souls, "Alright you are going to tell me your names one by one and no interrupting or overlapping each other..."

"Bossy type huh? This should be interesting..." One of the males said softly with a roll of his eyes. Alice then pointed to the first person in the line, "You are to tell me your name and what demon possesses you is that clear everyone?" All the males begrudgingly nodded, or shook their heads in Gideon's case, and responded every time one of them was pointed at. Alice started with the warrior on the furthest left and one by one made her way to the one furthest right, "Kane, keeper of Disaster"

"Aeron, keeper of Wrath"

"Lucien, keeper of Death"

"Cameo, keeper of Misery..." one of the warriors said in a very melancholy voice that assaulted Alice's eardrums and made her cringe and she thought to herself, "Such a sad sounding person... I'd hate to be the person that tries to love her... She'll just make them really upset and want to die..." Alice finished her thought as she continued to go down the line, "continuing on down the line... You are?"

"Maddox, keeper of Violence"

"Name's not Gideon and I'm the keeper of truth..."

"You mean your name IS Gideon and you're the keeper of LIES correct?" Alice asked clearly confused at this. This just caused the one named Gideon to laugh a little bit before answering, "Nope."
"Ugh whatever... You after Gideon!"

"Reyes keeper of Pain."
"Amun, keeper of Secrets" signed one of the males towards Alice it was a good thing she knew a little bit of it otherwise this would have sucked.

"I'm Strider, the keeper of Defeat"

"And I'm Paris... I'm the keeper of Promiscuity... And you two are simply beautiful why don't you two come back to my room and we can have some fun huh?"

"Not in a million years Paris... there is suppose to be one more where are they?" Alice said grumpily at Sabin.

This made Sabin run a hand over his face as he looked at the ex female hunter, "yes there is one more but he's not here at the moment. Well I mean he is here but you don't want to come into contact with him. The one that is missing is Torin and he's the keeper of Disease so he's not going to make an appearance where there is people that could get terribly ill..." Sabin answered with as much civility that he could muster, "Come on ladies I'll show you to your rooms..."

"Why don't you let me do it Sabin?" Paris asked with a smile and Sabin looked at him with an arched brow, "because I treasure you as a friend and I can guarantee that if you try anything with Alice you'll regret it..."

"Is that a threat from you or Alice, Sabin?" Paris asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Alice of course, what makes you think that I like her... She's a hard ass... Besides I've sworn off women since that day remember?"

"Right... You don't have feelings for Alice... And I'm an angel..."

"She was an ex hunter you know... That's why I don't advise it" Sabin said coming up with an excuse before looking at his friend Kane, "Hey Kane huge favor to ask of you. Could you bring Annilise to her room? I need to take Alice to hers and speak with her in private about an important matter."

"Yeah I suppose I can... But Disaster has been a loose canon all day... Are you sure you want me to take her to her room?"

"Just do what you always do and take the brunt of it...

"Alright fine I'll take her to her room... Come with me Annilise" "Oh you can just call me Annie if that's easier for you..." At this Kane blinked in surprise, she wasn't scared of him, nor was she trying to run from him but she was being accepting of him as if wasn't a big deal he was possessed by a demon, "right this way then miss Annie..." Kane blurted out unsure of what to say nor what came over him. With that the two girls were lead to their separate rooms leaving Annilise with Kane and Alice with Sabin.
