Ken P.O.V
I lean back in my recliner in my studio apartment, sipping on a glass of Soju to calm my nerves. I usually do this every time I want to get my mind off of everything, but I can't stop thinking about Jiyeon. My mind boggles around about what to do, but I guess it wouldn't hurt to at least be her friend. I desperately need somebody in my life that is normal.
I grab my phone and look for the number that she added. I take a swig of my beverage before I decide to actually call her or not. I press the call button and put it up to my ear, tapping my pinky against the edge of my phone.
"Hello?" She speaks clearly, her friendly tone makes me smile.
"Hey Jiyeon. It's Ken."
"What's up?"
"Just wanted to talk to you, figured we could talk for a bit, get to know each other more."
"Yeah, for sure! I was meaning to text you, but work kept me late. I wasn't sure when you went to bed actually." She giggles softly.
I laugh quietly. "I'm a major night owl, so you're okay. I'm glad I didn't wake you then."
"Me too." She teases. "I was just watching a movie, It's nice to hear from you. So, what do you want to know?"
"Anything." I chuckle, taking another sip of Soju silently.
"My favorite color is green."
"Mine is blue."
"I love watching animated movies, the artwork is incredible to me."
I smile to myself, loving to learn more about a person. It feels like forever since I've actually had normal social interaction, that I feel so different. "That's cute. I used to love watching animated movies as well, but it's been so long."
"Really? I should have you watch my favorite one sometime." She sounds surprised.
"That would be fun." I twirl the liquid around in my glass.
We spend the next hour talking on the phone, having a really good time. I think it really helped with my mental situation to have a friend for once. We laughed together, until I hear her yawn then I bid her goodnight. I feel like I got to know a lot more about her in depth, she seems like a really good person.
I finish off my drink and close the recliner, heading to bed myself as well.

I turn off the movie, smiling after the great conversation I had with Ken, I really needed that. I yawn again and stretch my arms out, heading to my bedroom. I get into my pajamas and slip under my covers, getting immediately comfortable. I fall asleep rather quickly, stirring throughout my slumber with nightmares.
I wake up the next morning tiredly, rubbing the sleep from my eyes. I get out of bed and do my normal morning routine once again, wishing Hongbin could've woken me up. I fix my messy bed head and eat a small breakfast, getting dressed and I leave for work.
Of course, Leo opens the door to greet me and I flash him a small smile. I grab a quick coffee from the break room before going into our office, looking through the new headlines. I greet Kijun and she plays a few videos for me to go through from the news. I drink my coffee as we work in silence for a little bit, Leo dealing with the photographs while Kijun and I write together.
I have my intern, Nari, pick out the headlines that we should use, just as practice for her. We all sit together and format the newspaper correctly, figuring out where to place every news story. We have Mungjae read over our stories to proofread and make sure it's detailed enough. He helps us fix a few things and we put it all together, giving the finished product to our head boss.
