Secrets Aren't Lies

Chapter 26

"My parents were in the mafia, Ken. I just want to get that off my chest." I sigh softly. "Hongbin wrote me a letter and told me everything about why he was killed by Hyuk. I was so in shock, I couldn't believe it. They wanted to keep me safe so they hid it from me, but I was still sucked into it. It's like our family was just meant to be cursed by them." I lower my head shamefully.

His eyes widen as he looks at me, his heart drops. "I'm sorry, Jiyeon. I'm the one that pulled you into it. I'm sure Hyuk knew everything about it from his late father, which is why he was the one that did it. Hakyeon and Ravi called it the special hit because of the long rivalry, I guess it makes sense now. I still apologize for it all." He sighs and kisses my head gently with his plump sweet lips. I nod. He begins to massage my shoulders to relax me entirely. My body loosens, enjoying every moment, my neck rolls into his touch. He smiles to himself, wanting him to be the reason that I can smile again and be happy. I breathe out in pure ecstasy as he continues to work his magical hands all the way down my back.

"You like this?" He leans closer to my ear, getting all of the knots out of my tightened muscles.

"Oh god, Ken." I whisper between my lips, his enticing voice sends shivers down my spine, tickling me. He trails kisses along the back of my neck after moving my hair to the side. I giggle softly and pull away to face him. I grab his cheeks, dragging him against my lips into a lustful craving kiss. Ken kisses back immediately with his prurient intents, holding his hands on my waist lightly.

"I love you." I detach our lips and look into his eyes affectionately. I peck his bottom lip teasingly.

"I love you too, angel." He endearingly conveys back to me as nighttime begins to appear.

This whole day has just masked my pain, I kiss both of his cheeks and rise to my feet, guiding myself to the bedroom. Ken chuckles and follows behind me, holding my hand.

"You get in bed to relax, okay? I'm going to shower and then I'll be right there with you." He grins at me, laying me down and covers me up. He kisses my forehead with deep love. I nod and get cozy, smiling softly at him as he goes into the bathroom. 

Honestly, I hated even the thought of him leaving me alone in this room while he's away, but I need to stay strong, I can't rely on Ken forever. He's only a door away. I hold my locket between my fingers to keep me relaxed, but I don't dare close my eyes because I know that's when it will all go downhill. An exasperated sigh softly escapes from my mouth, trying everything I can to keep my mind from driving me insane with appalling thoughts.

Ken P.O.V.

I undress with all haste, just needing a quick shower even though I know I need to get back to Jiyeon as soon as possible, I can't have her afraid to be alone during these times. I turn the shower on hot water and I step in to wash away all of my worries. I exhale pleasantly as the steaming water hits against my skin, my drenched darkened hair fall in front of my eyes. I flip it backwards as the droplets fling off the tips of my hair, I grab the shampoo and lather my scalp and hair deeply.

'Tonight.... Tonight...' That word repeats in my mind over and over again, unable to resist the urge of finishing everything off. The subs glide down my rippling biceps and abs slowly arriving to my feet, collecting at the drain. I rinse my hair and scrub my body, washing it thoroughly. Jiyeon enters my mind, knowing that I can't go when she's awake, she'll fuss about it. It's not really lying if she doesn't know I'm going. That's terrible to even think, I fight myself for my own justice. I let the water get all of the soap off of my slippery body and I rub my head, trying to figure out what to do. I turn off the hot shower and step out while I grab my towel. I rub the towel against my shaggy wet hair and shake it to push to the side. I dry off the rest of my body and wrap it around my waist dangerously low. I exit the bathroom and head into the bedroom to find Jiyeon wide awake.
