"Ravi, I can explain-" I quickly stand up and run over to Ravi, but he stops me by grabbing ahold of me tightly.
"What the fuck did you tell him?" He shakes my arm roughly, gripping his hands tighter, unable to control his strength.
"I- I didn't tell him anything important. All I said was that something happened to Ken. I promise, Ravi." I wince in pain, trying my best to stay strong.
"You won't say a word to Jiyeon about what you found in those files, understood? My father will take care of it." Ravi looks viciously in my eyes, a complete flat expression plastered on his face. He rips his hand off of me in a violent swift motion, but he shoves me backwards brutally, causing me to hit the wall.
"Y-yes baby." I grunt and speak very softly as my head lowers. "Please don't hurt her." I plead and walk pass Ravi, lightly bumping his shoulder. I rub my arm from where he was grasping, seeing another blue and purple bruise form already.

Do I call Jiyeon now, or do I tell her in the morning? It might just be better if I tell her in the morning, but she needs to know now. These thoughts straggle in my mind, not exactly positive about what to do.
"I'll just tell her in the morning." I whisper to myself and run my slender fingers through my soft hair and head back home. Right before I enter my door, I hear a gunshot echoing through the night skies. I just sigh, ignoring it, and go inside and go to bed.

I wake up rolling over in my bed to shut off my obnoxious alarm ringing loudly throughout my ears. I groan, softly, and check my phone, instantly a smile covers my face as I see a message from Ken that was sent a two in the morning.
'Good morning, beautiful. See you later today?' It reads. A blush rises in my cheeks and my body temperature increases from this giddiness I feel.
'Gladly.' I send back and quickly jump out of bed, feeling rejuvenated after my shower. Ken just makes me so happy that I possibly can't even wait to see him. I put on some work clothes and leave my apartment a little early to grab a latte. After I stop at the café, I begin heading to work, traversing gracefully and sipping my beverage slowly. I get to my building, expecting for the door to open, but it doesn't. I tilt my head, but walk inside anyway, looking around wondrously.
"Is Leo not here yet?" I ask Nari, who is always here when I arrive, probably just to be a little suck-up.
"Not yet, Miss," she says to me as she bows respectively and places a bagel on my desk for me.
"That's strange. I wonder how it went with Kijun then," I whisper, more to myself than aloud. Nonetheless, I sit down in my chair anyway, take a bite of my bagel, sip my coffee, and begin typing up a new story for next week's newspaper. After a bit of reading, my eyes glow with demise. "Another person was killed last night? The body was found at 1:45 am?" I query aloud to get my intern's attention from the other room.
Immediately, Nari is back in my office, readily. "Ah, yes. At the corner of Daehangno." She informs me.
"Okay, thank you." My voice is soft, but was filled with politeness as I study my computer screen.
1:45 am. That's only fifteen minutes before Ken texted me. Why would he be up that late? Did he get woken up by the gunshot? But I wasn't. I think hard to myself, continuing with this logical process. There have been lots of shootings every night lately. Who has been doing them? Is it the same guy that shot Hongbin? My face grows white, engulfed in these accusations. Little did I know what was happening right outside of the building.
