Victoria was the reason. This dragon has lived on the island for decades. Spencer (the man) had found an egg while snorkeling around these islands. He rose dragons on the island and was adventuring in the forests for awhile. Then, Victoria spotted one of the eggs, which was thought to be the last dragon left because the one before (Ezra) ran away back to the island. It was all confusing. So now, after Gary cooked Spencer (the egg), Spencer's father (Ezra) decided to take us to the island to do something. What was that something? I would have to find out.
The island must've been quiet before my family moved in. It was always a cacophony of screaming kids now. It didn't help much that Victoria got pregnant. At first it was just unnatural amounts of puke coming out of her body, and then I realized that she was missing her period. We don't know if it's going to be a boy or a girl yet and we have no idea when she'll have it. We assume not for at least eight months.
Every night my favorite thing to do is to sit on the beach close to the water but not IN the water and just barely let my toes get splashed every time the waves hit the shore. The dragon had a hut made for each of us. Twelve huts lined up just behind the first layer of palm trees. They are made from mud and straw and wood. They have nice, wool beds and beautiful doors layered with maroon dragon scales. There are poems carved into the walls. My favorite in my hut is this one:
Big ideas are nothing
Unless you get some traction
For that, you need a wicked plan
And lots and lots of actionI read it over and over every day and it brings inspiration to my mind. I still don't know why the dragon brought us here. I still don't know.
