I drove to Gary's house with some scratch tickets for him. It had been three days since we were engaged and five since Carter's birthday. I sat down in one of his chairs and he sat in the other. I poured us some wine and he started the fire. I handed him a scratch ticket and I grabbed mine. Then we scratched. Tori had snuck the egg into my purse and I hadn't noticed until I was inside Gary's house. What a goofball. Gary finished his ticket and chuckled.

"I just won 10$!" he jumped up excitedly as if 10$ were more than that. He had a good sense of humor.

"Let's toast!" I said. We clanked our wine glasses and drank. I continued to scratch mine and when I did the last little circle I couldn't believe it. I stood up with my mouth open as I pointed at the ticket. I tried to speak but no words came out. Then all I remember was being hit on the head with something really hard.

I woke up in a bed with a guy standing over me. I sat up and asked where I was and who he was.

"Mary! It's just me! Calm down! Gary is here!"

"Why are there butterflies in the fridge?" I asked. I was wondering why there was a fridge in this room and there were butterflies flying in and out of it.

"What fridge? What butterflies? How many fingers am I holding up, Mary?"

"What fingers?" I asked. This guy took some bunny ears and held them up. "I see a pair of bunny ears though!"

"You fainted," he said.

"I painted WHAT?!"

"I need help. Should I get a doctor?"

"119! 991! 811! I don't know?!" I tried to find it but I couldn't figure it out. "911!" I yelled.

"MARY!" the dude screeched.

I jumped and everything stopped spinning and the fog cleared up. "Gary! It's good to see you! I have no idea what I am doing in your bed!"

"You fainted."

"I vaguely remember that," I babbled.

"You won three million dollars on a scratch ticket, remember?"

"I do!" I said. "I got three cherries and then something hit me on the head!"

"We need to celebrate!"

"Woo-hoo!" We drank wine and partied for a long time. I was rich! We could buy a nice house and live with Gary and eat something other than Taco Bell takeout! Then, Gary got serious.

"Hey, Mary."

"Yeah?"

"Do you want to get married?"

I pondered this and the said, "Yes, yes I do."

"We can have the wedding later, but-"

"Oh! Yeah..." and I spent the night there. We slept together and recreated some of the scenes from Forrest Gump. It was like Forrest and Jenny. Two peas in a pod.
