intro:
relationships that ruin our lives without us even realising. this will be a topic close to home for many of us so be prepared.how to spot a toxic friend/how to end your relationship with them?
they'll always want to make you feel worse, whether it be blaming things on you, put you down, humiliate you in front of people or use you for things. another big red flag for a toxic friend is, your mum probably doesn't like them. your mum's instincts never lie so if she tells you something about your friend think about what she said and see if she is right. it's best for you to react quickly if you realise that someone doesn't treat you right. if it gets too serious, or the mistreating continues for a long time, you'll have less courage to confront them about your feelings, and how they make you feel. you'll feel trapped in the friendship and it'll be a living hell for you.these things apply for love relationships as well. if your other half spends more time with his/her friends it's not a good sign. they may not be cheating but it means that they're not committed to the relationship. if you try to break up with them, they'll try to manipulate you into staying, show you fake sympathy, say cheesy comments, so if that happens please remember that it's all fake, and you have to break up. it's not good for your health and they'll bring you down even more. it can also lead to physical abuse.
if you want to get out of this relationship you have to talk to the person, calmly. if they do/say something after you had your calm talk report it to someone, a teacher, close friend, and if it's something threatening, illegal, then report it to the authorities. no one has the right to manipulate you and make you feel like trash every day of your life. you have to get out of these relationship as fast as you possibly can.
