     "-(y/n)!"
~
     "kuro-!"

As if they were connected, the two fell both into nothingness.

~ooOoo~

     "(Y/n)!"
     "(Y/n), god look at me!"

"Hm..?" The girl hummed. She blinked a few times, her eyes slowly focusing on the figure in front of her. She realized that he was worried, she sighed, "oh, sorry..."
The male in front of her let out a huff, he held onto her arms tightly, "(y/n) you've gotta stop this zoning out and forgetting..." he complained. "I'm worried.."
The girl looked at him for a moment, then sighed as she lowered her gaze to her lap. She bit on the inside of her cheek. "I'm sorry.." she mumbled. She could feel tears well up in her eyes; they streamed down her face in hot lines as she felt a pain in her chest. "I just.. I don't know what to do anymore.." she said.

"I don't know what to do without them.."

The male in front of her watched with sympathetic eyes. She stared down at herself, her body still bandaged from her previous visit to the hospital.
He felt bad for her, he did. Losing family was nothing small.
But (y/n)'s parents had never been a positive part of her life. He had seen her come to class tired, bruised or with swollen eyes from tears. He had let her stay over when her parents kicked her out, or even demanded that she did when he was genuinely concerned for her safety. He had been a shoulder for her to cry on when she couldn't hold it in any longer.
He had told her many times to do something about her situation. He even offered to help. But what could he say? Despite all that (y/n) went through, it was hard for a child to not cherish her parents.

And so when a semi truck came barreling down the wrong side of the road, what was she to do but be in distress. Her whole family was gone. The only people she had.
Or well, the only ones besides him.

"(Y/n)..." he said. He pulled the girl forwards slightly. She willingly slid into his arms as he wrapped them around her.
     "It hurts.." she cried.
"I know it hurts.. but trust me.. things'll be okay." He assured. He rubbed soothing circles against her back as she sniffled.

     "I'll be here.."

~

     He was.
He was always there for her.
Even when she didn't want him to be.

~

The first few weeks she spent with him were beneficial. He got her through her sorrows, her regrets, and pushed her to keep going in life. He made what once was a dark, terrifying world filled with maltreat and mistrust become something a lot more worthwhile.
Within a month he had convinced her to move in. And during that time, they had developed a serious relationship with a strong dependence for each other.
They did everything together for a while. They worked to make each other happy.

But (y/n) wasn't quick to learn just how much work she'd started putting in.

He didn't like her talking to other men, and so she stopped.
He wanted to know where she was at all times, and so she told him.
He checked up in her regularly in person and over the phone, and so she answered.
