Chapter 32

"Gah~ it's so cold~!" A loud, animated voice whined as he shuffled inside. He wrapped himself tightly in his jacket, his ravine-haired eve following behind him in a similar manner.

The sky had grown dark and cold recently. Clouds were constantly looming in the air.

     "Guys! You should've brought warmer clothes! Especially in your condition, its not good to be freezing like this!" Mahiru scolded as he ushered the two into the main area of the apartment. He looked across the room to kuro and (y/n), then pointed off towards another room. His guests were freezing.
"Can you two get some blankets?" he asked.
     They were quick to comply.
(Y/n) went to the guest closet, and opened it, taking out a few blankets and handing them to kuro. The servamp brought them over to the scene, where mahiru literally threw the covers onto Lawless and Licht.
     The blonde servamp shivered and winced as he withdrew into the warmth of the blanket. Mahiru stood in front of him in a somewhat frantic manner. He turned over his shoulder, looking for (y/n).
"Hey (y/n), could you-" he stopped. The girl wasn't present in the room. "Wait, where'd she go?"
Kuro furrowed his brow, looking around. (Y/n) wasn't in the main room with everyone else anymore, and from what he could see she wasn't in the kitchen or the hallways. He stood, letting out a confused sigh as he rubbed the back of his neck. "I'll go find her.." He said.

The servamp make the trek back to his and (y/n)'s room, knowing it would be the only other place in the house the girl would be. He opened the door, walking in to see his subclass pacing slightly. She looked up for a moment at the sound of him opening the door, and sighed, sitting down in the bed with an anxious huff.
Kuro's expression softened a bit. Something didn't seem right. He entered the room slowly and shut the door behind him. He spoke softly with a tilt of his head.
"Is everything alright..?" He asked. To him, she seemed suddenly nervous about something.
(Y/n) let out a quiet hum. "Mhm.. everything's fine. Why..?" She replied, biting onto the inside of her lip awkwardly.
Kuro looked at her, furrowing his brows as she looked away from him. He could see her twiddling her thumbs, her leg shaking slightly as it would during an old anxiety attack. He placed his hand on her shoulder. There was no way she had told him the truth.
"(Y/n).. what's wrong.?" He pressed.
The girl didn't reply.
Now kuro was a bit worried. He slid off the bed, kneeling in front of her to get a better look at her. She stared forwards, not looking at him. He trailed her line of sight, only to find that she had her eyes fixated on the door.
"(Y/n).." he called.
"It's nothing.." the girl replied. She blinked a few times, and then finally looked down to the servamp beneath her. She brushed her hair out of her face with a huff, and shifted backwards more towards the center of the bed. "It's nothing I just.." she started. Her eyes glanced upwards at the door again, and then off to the side. "I think I'm just gonna lay down for a bit.." she sighed. "I don't really feel good.. that's all.."
Kuro frowned.
(Y/n) raised her hand, raking it through the servamp's hair a bit. She let out a sigh. "I'm fine I promise." She assured.

The sound of commotion filled the girl's ears. She stiffened slightly. Kuro turned towards the door.
"Ahh...." kuro sighed.
"You should probably go help mahiru." (Y/n) said.
The servamp paused, looking back to (y/n) still with a look of concern. She gave him a nod, and a small grin as he kissed her and stood.
"Ah.. I'll be back.." he sighed.

The servamp returned to the living room.
Lawless and Licht were legitimately fighting in the middle of the room. Mahiru was freaking out next to him.
He threw a cushion at the two, "stop that, you guys are hurt enough as it is!"
"I don't know what you mean" Licht argued, "an angel like me sustains no damage"
Lawless managed to pry himself away from the teen. For once instead of praising him, however, he let out a scoff. "pl-ease." He huffed. "I saw you limping earlier... and my wounds haven't healed either.."
"See!" Mahiru interjected.
