It's around 11 o'clock and I'm still sitting in this raggedy-ass bed waiting for them to come but you know they never fucking showed.

I pick up my phone and call them for the 5th time.

"Where the fuck y'all at?" I question.

"Bitch we turning the corner, calm ya ass down." Candice says through the phone with a laugh.

"It's not funny, I'm ready to get the fuck up outta here, ASAP."

"You and me both. I missed my bestie!" She screams.

"Babe, calm your Harry Potter head ass down." Hakeem says in the background.

"I know yo ass ain't talking."

I just laugh and end the call knowing they're going to be fighting the whole drive back home.

30 minutes later I'm getting dressed since I know they're almost here, talking about I'm right around the corner, lying asses.

I hear a knock as soon as I walk out of the damn bathroom.

"Baby mama! How ya feeling today?" Hakeem's ugly ass asks.

"Nothing, ready to pop this baby out. Two more months I keep telling myself."

He just laughs then rubs my stomach.

"So where we headed first?" I ask.

"Back to my place. A nigga is tired from fucking around with Devin and Aiden."

"Awe you had to watch them?"

"Yep every day, after Devin comes home he wanted to play with his cousin."

"True they are cousins technically." I thought about it for a good minute.

"Let's hit the road." Hakeem says pushing me in the damn chair.

We get outside and I smell the fresh air and I look all around me, seeing a lot of movement, voices, and colors that I've been missing for so long.

We get inside the car and head back to the house. Once I'm there it's nobody outside playing. So me being me thinks nothing of it.

We walk in silently and it's dark as fuck.

"Why the fuck is it dark?" I ask.

"Surprise!" The lights flicker on and my friends are here smiling.

"Oh my gosh! Y'all did this for me?"

There was a big sign that said Welcome Home, there were balloons, food, cookies, etc.

"Yeah, we planned this out with the help of the kids."

"I can tell."

There were Superman and Spider-Man table cloths and posters everywhere, which I was fine with.

"Auntie Fay!"
"Mom!"

I heard two voices say and I'm surprised by the latter.

I turn and see two kids running towards me so I bend down and hug them with tears in my eyes for 2 reasons.

1. I haven't seen them in about a week and 2. Aiden called me mom.

"I missed you kids so so much." I cry.

"Awe! We missed you too. We bought you something." They run off and come back with a gold bracelet and I already knew Don had to have bought it.

"Thanks, my babies!" I take it from them and put it on.
