After our 7 days in Florida, we had to come back home cause the boys still had school.

We got back last night around 10 o'clock and everybody has been knocked out since. I decided to take the boys to school and get some fresh air.

"Bye!" They scream as they run in school.

"Bye love you!" I scream even though they probably didn't hear me.

I head off to the library and do my online college work I got one more week left and I'd officially graduate. Happy as fuckkkk!

After about 5 hours, I had about 2 more hours left so I decided to go to Walmart and get groceries.

I walk in and I get some fruit, vegetables, poultry, and some snacks. In the middle of getting groceries I pass the baby aisle, I walk through it and see some things I'd like.

I haven't gone baby shopping since Marcel was rushed into the hospital. So I decided to get him something that'll match our baby girl.

I got a shirt that says daddy's little girl and I got onesies for the both of them. I went into the jewelry aisle and saw some chains and watches he'd like so I got him one of each.

After I get the rest of my groceries I head back to the house, unload, then pick the boys up while everybody else was at work.

"So boys what do you want to do today?"

"I wanna go to the waterpark." Aiden says.

"Are you cool with that, Devin?"

He nods so we head home and get their bathing suits and head to the waterpark. After about 3 hours there, we went and got ice cream.

"Do you guys want to help me with dinner after you do your homework and shower?" They nod eagerly.

After they shower they do their homework for about 30 minutes and then we start cooking.

"Get everything on that list out."

I'm making Jambalaya tonight.

They get the ingredients while I get the oven ready.

"Okay, now I want you to wash your hands and take the shrimp out of the bag and put it in a bowl."

About an hour later Candice and Hakeem come back from work and everybody starts to get ready for dinner. About 45 minutes later I reheated the Jambalaya and we all started to dig in.

"This is delicious." Hakeem said.

"Thanks, guys. I'm close to finishing college."

"That's great!" Candice says.

"Yeah. I'm excited to finally be done with it." I say happily.

"How long you got?" Hakeem asks.

"Just 2 more hours then I'm college free and can start applying for some jobs."

Everybody smiles and we talk about what jobs I'd apply to.

____Next Day____

Everybody woke up and did their usual things so that left me in the house alone.

So I decided to go to a local cafe and work on my last 2 hours of online work, once I'm done I grab myself some cookies as congratulations to myself for finishing it with good grades. Later on or maybe even tomorrow I might start applying for some jobs.

We have one more week before the hospital talks to us and voices how we want to proceed with his situation. To be honest, I don't think I can pull that plug and watch him take his last breathe in my mind that's killing him without giving him a chance.

I call Don to speak to him about Lamonte and the case.

"Hello?" He answers.

"Hey. You busy?" I ask him.

"No, I'm good girl. What's up?"

"I was wondering wassup with Lamonte?"

"Well as you know, I just moved here and in my old town I was working in the police force and I had high clearance but since I moved down here. I need to earn the respect and loyalty from the higher-ups to get information like that, but my coworkers called it in and put in a good word so I can't give you much except what I'm telling you right now."

"Okay cool." I urge him to continue.

"As of right now, the case will be held in 5 days. So I'd advise you to get in contact with your lawyer and start going over the case. I can recommend you some lawyers."

"Yeah, that'll be great thanks. Do you think involving my parents would be good?"

"Yes. It'll show the judge that he forced you to lose contact with them. Candice and Hakeem can be your witnesses since they've seen the bruises and I assume the police have records of those pictures since they questioned you the day you went to the hospital. The doctor can even go up to stand and speak about the medical evaluation he has found on you."

"Okay, thanks again."

"No problem. I'll text you the lawyer's number, I'll give him a heads up. I trust him he's the best of the best."

"Okay, sweet. Bye."

I called the lawyer after I ate and went home.

"Hi, this is Fayth Davis."

"Yes, hi Ms. Davis I just off the phone with Mr. Michalison, and I'm Mr. Hoginak. He summarized your situation but I'd like to go more in-depth with everything as soon as possible."

"Okay. Is tomorrow, alright for you?"

"Yes. At 10 o'clock it would be great, you can meet me in my office. I'll send you the address, bring me any useful papers or evidence that you think could be of use. I'd also like the doctors to release papers and the doctor's number and your parents."

"Okay, bye Mr. Hoginak."

After we hung up, I started cooking dinner tonight it was simple, spaghetti and some garlic breadsticks. I also made some sugar cookies as dessert.

"It smells good as hell in here." Hakeem announced his presence.

"Thanks. Are Don and Aiden coming?"

"Yeah. They should be, I gave them a heads up."

I just nodded and continued cooking while everybody got washed up and ready for dinner.

"Is dinner ready, mommy?" Aiden asked me.

"Yeah bud, go get everybody."

As he did that I set the table and made everybody's plate. I even poured their drinks already knowing what they want.

As the night came to an end everybody got ready for bed and as soon as my head hit the pillow there was a small knock on my door.

"Come in."

"Hey, mommy. Can I sleep with you?" He asked cautiously.

"Yeah bud, come on up."

He did as told and we snuggled up together and fell asleep.
