Today was an interesting day.

Lizzie Saltzman had started to shock herself to make her a nicer person but what did that really get her?

Everyone thinking she was infected by a magical slug.

Honestly, she gives up.

Lizzie was excited about one thing and one thing only; to see Rae tonight. Once it turned midnight she was giddy to get going. Josie stared at her as she put on her jacket.

"What is so special about this girl?" Josie asked.

Lizzie turned to her, "uh, I don't know," she shook her head, "she is just amazing to me. Broken but that's okay. She is beautiful and her hands are like soft and little rough plus her hair is really pretty cuz it's like an ombre."

"Oh dear god," Josie put her face in her pillow, "you are in love."

"What no-"

"Lizzie Saltzman you are in love."

Lizzie just shook her head as she picked up a pillow and threw it straight at Josie, "go to bed, Jo," and with that, she left the school.

At the grill, Lizzie saw Rae sitting at the usual booth her hair in a bun this time some bangs out. It was a cute look on her.

"Hey," Lizzie greeted as she sat across from her.

Rae smiled a bit, "hey," she looked at her face, "no offense but you have the makeup lines under your eyes."

"Oh," Lizzie touched her face, "we had a talent show today. My section won again, my sister sung a song it was great..."

"Sounds like you had a good day," Rae said sounding a bit envious but also happy for her.

"Not really," Lizzie sighed, "I tried to do something to make me a better person but it didn't work."

"A better person?"

"Yeah I'm kind of a bitch in everyone's eyes," Lizzie told her, "I tried to be nicer with a little help," not mentioning the shock bracelet sparing her concern, "but everyone just," she shook her head, "I guess no one believes I can be nice."

Rae sighed, "they are stupid, they don't know the real you," she told her.

Lizzie shrugged frowning.

"You aren't a bad person, everyone has a way they are at school, but its what is in here that matters," she gestures to her heart, "you have a good heart Lizzie."

Lizzie immediately felt pain in her heart remembering the fact her birth mother said that to her, she felt the tears enter her eyes.

"I love you so much you have no idea," Lizzie admitted wiping her eyes not realizing what she said but it was too late to take it back.

Rae was surprised but smiled, "I love you too."

Lizzie smiled feeling overwhelmed with emotion but for once it was good emotion.
