It took maybe a month before Lizzie stopped blaming herself completely. Rae was getting used to the school, Alaric had talked to her mom who really didn't seem that fazed, that woman really did not care for her child.

Hope helped Rae with her new life and so did MG. They introduced her to Caleb another vampire who was pretty nice to her. It was doing pretty well actually.

Rae had pretty good control so far, not a big problem with the animal blood, which was surprising but she wasn't aware of it of course. It was easier that way.

Her relationship with Lizzie was strained for that month but when Lizzie started to be a bit better she knew their relationship would mend again.

Rae wasnt completely aware of her own strength yet, she used some of it to just let off steam, hanging out with MG and Caleb helped her control it more.

All she really wanted was Lizzie to be honest but the blonde Heretic really had an act in for avoiding her.

While at the school Rae was trying to figure out what happened to her dad. It was weird she was thinking of him now but she really wanted to know... Why did he leave? Was he attacked? Could he be dead? Who knows.

But what she found out was a sighting of him in a nearby town.

The human Rae would never go. But the Vampire Rae really couldn't help it, she needed answers, this was her dad. She made sure not to tell anyone. Not even Lizzie.

As she took one of the school's cars, she drove to the nearby town.

It was an hour drive, the entire time she thought about Lizzie... She wasn't angry at her, she understands why she's so standoffish. Rae just had to fix it when she gets back. Maybe take her to the Grill at 1 am... Use the excuse she is restless again. That'd be nice.

Rae arrived in the town, it seemed like a nice peaceful town, what the hell was Jered Fell doing here?

It took almost night time to find him.

He had left a bar, not drunk at all, he seemed pretty normal. But focused and serious, like on a mission.

Rae Fell watched him from the shadows and she stalked him from behind. She watched as her father walked and walked until he found the town park, he walked in there. Rae followed.

Finally he stopped walking. Standing on the grass with a sigh. Rae took a deep breath, now or never, she started to step up when he spoke.

"Hey sweet heart," Jered Fell turned to her, the loving father look in his eyes, Rae's eyes widened... Did he know she was following him? "How was the pageant? I heard you attended like I asked you to."

Rae was super confused, was he seriously asking about a pageant? "It was magical," she told the truth.

"Because of your Witch girlfriend?" He asked making her gulp, "I know everything, I know you, my prodigy, instead of following our legacy... Followed theirs."

"What are you talking about?" Rae asked, "I have my own questions actually, you left me-"

"Your right, maybe I shouldn't have, I could have prevented this," Jered sighed, "my own daughter... A vampire," Rae's eyes widened, "a demon."

Rae shook her head, "your insane."

"Am I?" He suddenly pulled out a cross bow pointing it at her, "I never was, you confirmed that when you turned!"

"Dad, what are you doing?" Rae asked desperatly as he lined it up with her heart, "its me! Your daughter! The girl you raised, the girl who had nightmares and you had to comfort for weeks straight, the girl you taught to dance and had dance on your shoes because I wasn't tall enough," tears fell down her face and she saw some on his, "I'm still your little girl."

He hesitated, she saw it, but then he straighted up, "my child is dead."

Suddenly he shot the cross bow but she dodged, he tried again but then pulled out a stake! Rae grabbed his arm stopping him with her vampire strength!

"Dad please!"

Suddenly she accidentally dislocated his arm making him scream and drop the stake!

Rae pushed him on the ground; anger, sadness, betrayal all fuming inside of her. She felt the veins grow under her eyes, he looked at her but no fear was on his face, just fascination, he was still insane. And he will die insane.

Suddenly Rae bit into his neck making him scream! She sucked him dry until he fell limp!

Rae fell to her knees crying as her father's dead body laid beside her...

"Rae," Alaric Saltzman's voice made her look up, he ran to her, pulling her into a hug.

"I killed him..."

"I know."

"He tried to kill me! He was trying to stake me! I-I'm so sorry! I was so angry!" Rae cried into his shoulder, Alaric helped her up as he held her close.

"Lets get you out of here."

As Rae sat in Alaric's car the grief and regret of killing her father stirred but honestly a big part of her was happy about it which scared her.

Alaric got in, he started the car up, he glanced at her, "you okay?"

Rae shook her head before asking, "how did you know where I was?"

"I saw you leave, I thought to follow you," Alaric told her, "nothing really gets passed me in that school."

Rae just looked out the window as he started to drive.

They arrived at the school, Alaric walked her in, she seemed numb now but she knew she was ready to pop like a balloon. That was when she saw Lizzie.

Lizzie stared at her, before she ran over hugging her, immediately POP. Rae began to cry into her girlfriend's shoulder, Alaric smiled sadly from behind. As Lizzie held her.

Lizzie was told by her dad what happened, he texted her so she could be ready to be there for Rae.

So she was.

She laid with Rae in bed, letting her sleep with her, Lizzie regretted avoiding her. Hell avoiding her hurt her more than anything. Maybe if she hadn't done that... Rae wouldn't have gone after her dad. But also it seemed that it was bound to happen.

Lizzie just held Rae close closing her eyes. Soon drifting off.
