Lizzie couldn't sleep.

The next day after Rae had done what she did, she excused from her classes but she also didn't talk, she had bags under her eyes.

Lizzie was extremely worried about her all through the day. When it came to night she offered to sleep with her again but Rae told her it's okay, that she wanted to be alone.

But Lizzie couldn't sleep.

She laid in her own bed, tossing and turning, she checked the clock it was almost 1 am.

Lizzie sighed as she got out of bed, she decided to go to the Grill like old times even if Rae wasn't there.

As she walked in, hardly anyone in it, her eyes found Rae sitting in there booth looking almost the same way she did the first night she met.

Lizzie walked over, "so we had the same idea?"

Rae looked at her surprised but gave a sheepish smile but it turned to a sad frown soon, "I guess we did."

Lizzie sat down, "Rae," she began but the dark blonde just stared at her hands, "you will get through this, I swear," she told her, "I will be here to help you."

Rae just smiled sadly.

"I'm really sorry I avoided you like the plague, that was so wrong of me," Lizzie shook her head, "after everything, I shouldn't have done that. I should have been there for you every step of the way. And sorry I wasn't. But I'm here now, I always will be."

"I know," Rae said simply tears in her eyes.

Lizzie scooted closer as she forced Rae to look at her and then kissed her, "I love you Rae Fell."

"I love you too Lizzie Saltzman," Rae agreed.

Lizzie knew this would be hard but they will handle it.

They were just two girls, alone, restless, who found peace with eachother at late hours at the Grill.
